Each ballast is assembled with leading edge technology to deliver the best HID lighting in the industry. Ballasts drive power to the bulbs with AC current to keep efficiency high, steady no flicker light, and lower power consumption. Built in canbus uses newer technology to avoid triggering vehicle computer error codes and protect against RF feedback to prevent any radio static or electrical interference with the vehicles complex computer system. Unique to Performaxxed ballasts is Instant-On technology. Unlike other HIDs which are very dim when just turned on and take a long time to warm up, Performaxxed ballast put out an incredible amount of light the second they are turned on and reach full 75watts of luminous output in 20-25 seconds, unlike most other ballasts including some OEM which can take 25-60 seconds or more for a 35w to reach full output. These ballasts are made to be used with 75w AC HID bulbs to acheive best light output. They can be used with 55w bulbs, but you will have less light output and more heat. The higher output of these ballasts produces more heat which gets dissipated through the cooling fins. For optimal performance, do not cover fins. Professional installation recommended if you do not have experience with HID lighting. Higher power consumption of the 75W ballast may require a relay harness. Capacity to work with factory harness will depend on the make/model/age of your vehicle and condition of your battery and factory harness.
