Amazing Bass Quality (but weak Bluetooth Connectivity).
The media could not be loaded. Product is really good. But still I'm returning and may be buy again. This unit is having problem may be some electric faults causing me trouble or IDK...Unfortunately I'm getting few issues like Bluetooth is getting disconnected or Sometime I can't connect to Bluetooth. Also after using 2 to 3 hrs suddenly speaker stopped working. Suddenly speaker stopped producing bass and goes into silent mode. (THIS IS PERSONAL ISSUES NOT WITH ALL THE PRODUCTS).If anyone asked me for rating I would do thisSound quality 4.8/5Bass quality 5/5Vocal Clarity 3/5Playback time 4.5/5Charging time 2.5/5Ruggedness 4/5Also SONY don't have inbuilt EQ modes. Charging time is too much more than 4 hrs 🥵About water resistance - I didn't throw it into watter.Playback time is depends on volume level at Max 10-12 hrs at full volume is possible but after that 4 hrs for charging.🥶

Seems a mixed bag for me. But can be bought for sound quality and excellent bass
The media could not be loaded. Have to write this review and cover 2 important aspects i.e 1 for the Product & 2 for Amazon. The product first :Seems to be a mixed review for me but then I realized that we need to be decisive about what we want.Pros:1. Is very portable2. Sound quality is very good. The bass is excellent and there is no distortion even in highest volume.3. Excellent for indoor use like online classes, webinars and listening to songs.4. Contains Mic so it is very helpful to talk on calls.5. The battery life is excellent.6. Type C cable is a great part since we all have the same technology with our phones these days.Cons:1. The charging cable is terribly short.2. Totally dissatisfied by Bluetooth connectivity. Needs to be placed near the original sound source. The farther you go the more breakage in sound can be heard. Totally fails on its claim for 10 mtr. Bluetooth connectivity.3. Even on the highest volume the sound seems to be a bit low. I compared it on online with its competitors like JBL clip 4 and JBL go3 and soundwise JBL was much better, had decent Bass too. But again every product has its own pros and cons.4. This one is not a flaw actually but this is how I figured out the exact usage of this product. Can't be used outdoors and I can't expect loud music. Won't work for house parties too since we Indians are already loud enough and this speaker won't stand to our volume levels.Overall product wise I would suggest that you buy it only for usage indoors and decent and crisp sound. For better and larger sound go for an upgrade to a bigger device. It is needless to mention the second part of the review about Amazon.1. Ordered it in the afternoon and received it in the evening same day. So kudos to Amazon for that.2. It just has a replace option & no option for refund. But when I expressed the dissatisfaction for the product to Amazon, the customer support team also gave me an option for refund if required.Once again Amazon justifies it's service quality. So a big thank you.PS: The video in the review is with my mobile phone being 10 feet away and in video the volume is decreased by 50% of the original volume.

GREAT PORTABLE SPEAKER WITH LIMITS
BOUGHT THIS FOR RS 2800 with a promotion and so far my experience has been good. If you're considering this please note:PROS:1. It is great speaker for nearby listening / as an extension of your phone/laptop speaker2. It is Ultra Portable, sturdy & can be carried easily with a very reliable strap.3. Good enough volume for your Work Station / Small space.CONS:1. It is absolutely NOT a PARTY SPEAKER; PLS don't buy this if you want to use it for gatherings & party.2. It is NOT a Car speaker; The volume is NOT loud enough for your Car. It has passable volume with your Car Windows Closed but with Open windows, the sound will be low with outside noise.

Absolutely amazing (Now with drawbacks)
The media could not be loaded. I initially bought one JBL charge 5. Costed Rs. 16.5K and had issues. When comparing the sound quality of JBL charge 5 to this Sony XB13, there's not much difference. Surely JBL charge 5 wins, but this one is pretty close, too. You can buy 4 of these instead of JBL Charge 5 and get way better sound. Although buying 2, 3 or 4 of these won't make sound stereo - instead 2, 3 or 4 monos.Compared to a basic home theatre though, surely even JBL charge 5 sounds like a muted one. This one can never come close to a home theatre unless you put this thing in a big box!Speaking of comparing this to home theatre, we should consider Hofmann's iron law. You can pick any two at a time: (1) Loudness (2) Bass (3) Size. So when size doesn't matter, you make box bigger, it gets louder and bassier. But this is small and half loud + half bass instead. In other words, the bass is sufficient, but the loudness isn't as loud as bass-less speakers (JBL for example)! But this gets significantly loud and quite Ok for most normal people.BTW, I was never a fan of Sony. Their sound quality is absolute crap. Their boxes and home theatres have high bass, high treble, muted 1KHz to 4KHz sound, high pitched high-frequency mids. I mean the EQ needs for most Sony speakers are terrible. But this speaker needs no EQ, luckily. The sound quality is absolutely amazing. Highs. mids and lows are very balanced.Oh, and when it comes to calling - yeah it's not actually bad. The mic it has doesn't sound like a pricey condenser microphone, but it's quite good for calling. You can put it on a table, and talk from 2 feet away.I also love that such a speaker is waterproof - I can enjoy songs and music in the bathroom! Noice!I will say this is the best speaker, even better than JBL Go 3 or Clip 4 (I assume) which even cost more! The downside is that it shakes the table it's on. In case you have sensitive electronics or other stuff, they might get rattled. Apart from that, I don't see much problems in this speaker so far.I've recorded a video on my phone to show you it's not bad. The problem is that my phone's mic isn't really that sophisticated, so it captured what it can capture...EDIT AFTER 2 WEEKS USAGEFrom 5 stars down to 3 stars. Reason:6. Can't Produce below 60 Hz: The speaker goes well above 60Hz to 20,000Hz. But it's bad that Sony false advertises it.5. 5 Watts Driver: The driver it contains isn't 13 watts. In fact, Sony never said anything about the wattage of the driver. It's the people who claimed the speaker to be 13 watts. It's just a 5 watts RMS driver.4. 1400mAh Battery: Battery is 1400mAh. Of course it makes sense the wattage is 5 watts. 13 watt driver would consume more than 2 amps of current. If you run this at fullest volume, it will still consume 1 amps of current, which means the 1.400Ah battery will be dead in less than 1 and half hours. Don't forget that bluetooth, status LEDs, and the inner circuitry also consume some power other than the woofer itself. It can never run 16 hours unless you just keep it on without listening or you listen at volume that's inaudible.3. Cheap Microswitches: The microswitches in the buttons are cheap - they can die if you use them a lot.2. Forget Repairing: Even though this has repairable parts, it's basically just glued together to get that IP67 rating. I have no regret for that now because you really get waterproof speaker. But if it's dead, it will be quite hard to repair.1. Bluetooth Issues: Biggest drawback is that the speaker GETS DISCONNECTED FROM YOUR DEVICE WHEN SOMEONE ELSE PAIRS TO IT. It's a complete shame that anyone can force you to disconnect from your device and connect to their own! You need to press the bluetooth button to disconnect. But someone might annoy you just like that.
