子供にも読みやすい簡単な英語で開発の手順が載っており、興味をもって取り組み始めました。ですが、手順通りに進めてマイクラサーバを起動するまではできるのですが、そもそものMODとなるkotlinのクラスの記載でJavaPluginのlibが指定できずに止まってしまいました。依存関係の指定も問題ないように思うのですが。。。ツール類のバージョンもだいぶ違うので、試行錯誤が必要で、何か必要な手順を落としているかもしれません。今のところ解決できていません。なので星3つにしました。フルカラーでマイクラのスクショなどありよいと思います。当方がinteliijで使用しているのはJDK8 -> JDK19、KotlinPluginも最新です。Inteliijのメニューも本記載と異なるため、現在ダウンロードできる一番古い2022.3.3が見た目ちょっと近いかなと思い使用しています。（最新版でも同じ動作でした。）2022.11.07追記本には記載はないですが、server下のライブラリのjar全てを直接モジュールで参照設定することで動作できました。星を増やしました。子供とプログラミングを楽しんでいます。

Minecraft is written in Java so that language is the better fit for plugins. However, Kotlin is a close cousin to Java and a much friendlier programming language. The book gives clear and fun examples of mods based on Kotlin. I had fun trying all the examples with my grandkids. Only reason I did not give it 5 stars is that it was really hard to get the native Java Minecraft server to recognize and accept the Kotlin plugins. I had to work hard at the configurations and the build environment before it worked. Would have been nice if those "details" had been recognized in the book.
