Nice build quality, compact size, light weight, easy to carry

I had a few problems with Western digital external hard disks getting slow and even crashing after 2 or 3 years.So switched from Western digital to Seagate after my friends recommendations. I received it a few weeks back and on opening the box, I found the external hard disc was quite thin and light weight. I went for the silver colour for a change as I was fed up of the usual black shades.I connected it to my PC and I was surprised to find the transfer speeds were really fast. I transferred some files and personal photographs into it and so far has been no problems.Along with this external hard disk I brought a hard cover protection case for my external hard disk from Aircase.On a side note I do believe these protective cases should contain a little more cushioning inside to protect the hard disk in case of accidental falls.

Product is very slim and small just like a toy but its finish and looks are awesome ...transfer speed i got is 127 mpbs in usb type 3.1 gen 1 port of my laptop ...firstly i formatted the hdd to NTFS cause i do not use hdd on my phone and only its for my laptop and NTFS is default format hence ....this is my review after formating to NTFS ....as for exfat file system i dont know....nor i want to use that file system that is prone to data corruption...it is advisable to format the drive to NTFS and enjoy the transfer speeds and looks!

Unlike Western Digital, this works best with MacBook as it remains compatible with APFS - Apple file system. No need of additional configuration to setup before starting to use. However, heating issue persists. Continuous read/write results in over heating. Otherwise it's fine for raw storage.

Good for storage

This HDD works beautifully from the get go without totally needing a powered external USB but you might want one. Quiet operation and quickly moves data. Shipping is quick and easy in as the precision storage comes in an easy to open bare cardboard envelope without padding. Totally recommended!

No es nada del otro mundo, pero es tan bueno como promete.+ Encriptación+ Caja bonita y de alta calidad+ Rápido: 127 Mbs.+ barato- No hay USB C en el kit, tendrás que comprarlo.- Más lento que un SSD.- El cifrado incorporado no funciona con iPad ni con iPhone, por lo que es necesario formatear a APFS y activar el cifrado.En general, me gusta, es mejor que OneDrive. PD: el cordón rojo de la foto lo compré por separado

En cierto momento la velocidad de escritura era de 25MB y no se el porque en la prueba del programa y pasando 600Gb de datos al HDD fue verdad que de 25MB no paso, eran datos comprimidos y sin comprimir en RAR. Bueno, reinicie una vez pasado los datos pase de nuevo la prueba del programa y pasando una pelicula de 60gb pues se mantiene en esos 100MB de escritura.La unidad la formatee antes de hacer las pruebas y pasar los datos.Los programas no me importan pero tener en cuenta que son meses de prueba luego pasa por caja, lo de la contraseña pues no me fije pero tampoco es que lo balla a usar te dan un papel con la contraseña y unas claves para resetearla si te olvidas.
