I do believe a well known company makes a fastener very similar to this one but this is the perfect place to get something that works effectively for about 5 times cheaper. I have run about 5000 fasteners through it without issue on various projects and look forward to continuing using it moving forward. I am also glad it came with a case for easy storage between uses. I bought one a couple months ago, probably shot 30-35 nails in....retaining pin broke....Took it to the repair company I use for all my tools and was told it's not worth fixing.....you get what you pay for and is definitely not a BLUE POINT/ Snap-on tool....don't be fooled by the name.

I choose it over Ramset Cobra because it has no plastic parts. Blue part that looks like plastic is actually made from aluminum. It is also significantly less expensive while almost identical in construction and use. Yes you can find even less expensive 22 cal single shot tools, but they will not yield that amount of power or speed that 27 caliber semi automatic feed tools have. Blanks are color coded with red being the most powerful and brown the least. In my experience 27 red will drive even through rebar while with 22 cal you will see that 3” nail will go half way if it hits anything steel in the concret. Tool is very easy to use, just load the strip through the handle opening in its bottom and insert fastener into the muzzle. Press against the parts you are trying to fasten and pull the trigger. Strip will go up one notch once you release the pressure from the handle aligning the next blank cartridge with a barrel breech. You only need to load the next fastener. The kit also includes thick rubber boot to protect your hands from flying debris if you are dealing with fragile concrete that may crack due to its age. Kit also includes cleaning tools, silicone gun oil reservoir and dispenser. It came in a nice hard case. I inspect the piston every time before I use it by pulling the barrel all the way out. You can remove the clip stop with the included screwdriver and undo a couple of allen bolts with the included key if you want to disassemble it completely.

Snap-On should sue y'all for this. Can't trust the Chinese at all when you are between them and a buck!
