HDMI to Component Converter with Scaler Function, HDMI to YPbPr 5RCA RGB Scaler Adapter V1.4 with R/L Audio Output Support for MacBook TV Blu-Ray DVD PS4 DVD, PSP, Xbox 360,Amazon Fire TV

This converter didn't work at all for outputting my Roku Ultra HDMI output to my older Sony CRT TV I didn't want to throw out or replace that my kids occationally use in the basement. I wound up keeping the LVY brand HDMI to RCA (AV) Converter since it worked best for my old style CRT Sony TV, but I wished one of the higher resolution HDMI to Component Converter would have worked.

This product does not work for me. I have it connected to the YPbPr inputs on my Sony Trinitron Vega XBR cathode ray tube tv. I used a Roku stick 4K and cycled through the descaler and it didn’t work completely and the screen was split. It looked like the old descrambler hot boxes used to try and steal cable tv back in the day. I read this product does not work with HDCP signals above 1.4 and the 4K stick is either HDCP 2.2 or 2.3. So I then bought a Roku Express which uses HDCP 1.4 compliance. The picture was almost clear, but it was still scrambled a bit and the YPbPr screen was still split in two. I cycled through the resolution settings to get it to 480p and still didn’t work. I was really hoping this product would work and I’m disappointed. I hate to throw this tv away because it still works as good as new. They were built like tanks. But tech has surpassed it and rendered it almost useless for today. If anyone has any answers that would be appreciated. I don’t want to throw this product out either.

Loved it when it came in I managed to hookup a old projector and old bose lifestyle system my inlaws had that only took component cables to a Apple TV. Worked great for 2 days. Then suddenly stoped working. I disconnected the cables, reconnected them, did the ol’ turn it off and back on, tried the Apple TV on another TV set and that worked. Tried a old DVD player to the projector and the projector worked. So the Apple TV and projector aren’t the problem. Tried again to connect this adapter and it didn’t work. Great idea, cheaply made. I wouldn’t buy it again.

When I first got this, like most others, I was looking to hook a streaming stick to an older spare tv. It worked great upon first use but over time, the picture started getting grainy and eventually almost unwatchable. Now the unit doesn't even get power and doesn't work at all about a year after purchase. DO NOT BUY!

Works as described! Easy to setup. Worked well with a cable box resolution and an install that did not have an HDMI cable run. Converted the cable box HDMI output to component The signal on the TV was perfect. Running over a month have not had any issues or a need to reboot any of the three devices.
