GE 26898 MyTouchSmart(TM) Dual Digital Outdoor Timer

Easy timer to set.

This is a good timer to put you into a rage. It doesn't have a simple on/off button that would allow you to override the timer settings. Instead, you have to go through a personal algorithm called "My Time." If that weren't enough, the timer does not just begin when you set it. First, you have to go through a mysterious process called "Countdown," and it doesn't work until after the countdown completes. It's a good timer for somebody who likes technology puzzles or if you never, ever need to change it.

Worked for a few days then realized one night coming home no lights were on. I used the reset button, then set evening button again. Still did not work. I then reset it again set the clock and then set my time on and my time off. I then waited until the next day and no lights came on. Fed up with this thing..Edit: I hit the reset button while it was plugged in even though it was charged and then set the time again. I then set then set the countdown, which turns them on for X amount of time, to your desired time. I believe you have to turn the countdown setting on everyday so I recommend setting the my time on and off. This does take 24 hrs if you set the time on earlier than you are in your day, if so wait until the following day for the timer to kick on.

The biggest issue I have with the timer is it is a single program device. Meaning you can not program it to run different programs of different days of the week. For the price you would think this would be a 7 day programmable device. I guess my bad for not digging deeper into the specs.Another issue is no where in the instructions do the tell you that to run your programed on or off times you have to press and HOLD the my on/off time buttons to activate your program. I was about to send it back when I actually stumbled on to this when i couldn't get my timer to turn on with the program.Save your money, spend a little more and get a multi day programmable timer.

I have bought multiple of these timers so it wasn't just one bad timer there was three of them every time I turn around it would stop working. It was unexplainable could not figure out why it stopped working. Then after the third one stopped working I had a professional look at it he showed me all the condensation that was getting on the inside this is absolutely not waterproof or resistant in any way shape or form. I have since bought a different brand and have had much better luck. Put your money towards a different timer!!!
