This square double pie basket will accommodate pies up to 3 inches High and up to a 9.5" Pyrex pie plate (as shown in the picture) on both the top and bottom. Fluted edge or fancy-edged pie plates over 9" (as shown in the second picture) will not fit on the bottom, but will fit on the top. This pie basket will; however, fit metal pie plates up to 10" on both the top and bottom. What a beautiful, well-constructed basket for carrying not one pie, but up to two pies with ease. This basket can also be used as a picnic basket. Place your pie or dessert in the bottom portion, place the inside tray on top, and then fill the top portion with your picnic items.
