Levi's Boys' 511 Slim Jeans

I got the package on time and that's always a good thing. Now, I looked at alot of reviews before actually purchasing my pair of jeans. So I guess you could say that I had a feeling for what I was going to get. When I first got the jeans, I already saw and felt a lot of things that were a little "off". I compared the jeans I bought off of Amazon to the ones that I got from the local Levi's outlet. (You know, the store where the good jeans will cost well over $40)Firstly, I noticed that the fabric on the Amazon-bought jeans were much softer and thinner than the store bought jeans. I guess that could be a good and bad thing, but I saw it as a bad thing because I like my jeans to last, and thinner fabric will most likely rip faster. I also noticed that the legs of the Amazon-bought jeans were much wider than the store-bought ones. I did not like this either because I bought skinny jeans, but I got some slightly baggier jeans than I expected.Secondly, when I actually tried the jeans on, I noticed some other things. The jeans were incredibly tight at the waist. My other jeans which were the same exact size, fit pretty snug on the waist. Another thing I noticed was that the jeans were shorter in length than the store-bought jeans. When I put them on, the bottom of the pant legs were at my ankles, while the store-bought jeans were longer and I could fold them over by my feet.I know, so much negativity. Lets talk about some positives. While these jeans may be a lower quality then the store-bought jeans, it has its ups. Its price is amazing. It's as simple as that. Also, they don't look half bad if you know how to sag your pants a bit. All in all I believe that the size just runs a little smaller on these jeans so I suggest to upgrade one size higher that your personal size. For example, if you are a size 14, upgrade to a size 16.I rated it 3 stars because it was an alright buy.

My son is tallest in class and always skinnier than the other taller boys.I made the mistake of moving him right from a 7 to an 8 this fall. The pants needed a belt and bulged when using the elastic. I didnt know about size 7X until last week when i ordered these and i picked out a few pair to try. I wanted to measure and be sure this time and i noticed a big jump in the waist from size 7 to 8 and length was average change. The 7X and 8 are same length. I am sure maybe the sizes were made for huskier boys as it's common and the size 7X was made for the kids like mine. I call my son Jack Skellington. Boney.. i am so very happy with this purchase and provided a picture of the difference in a 7X and 8. Perfect fit now. Excellent and the wash stays dark until he grows out of them. He has been wearing them for about 3 years now and is the only jean I will buy for him.

These jeans are an excellent fit, I wear a size 29x29 which translates to a size 18 and they are not baggy and do not extend past my ankles. If you are unsure about what size will fit you, just go to your local department store and try on 511 jeans in the Kids/Teens section. The trouser pockets are large enough to hold a Samsung Galaxy S II phone in one pocket. This is better than the non-trouser jeans which have very small pockets in front.Because they are trousers, you can wear them formally with a dress shirt, with a polo shirt, or even with a T-Shirt. I bought the Silt and Pewter colors and the neutral colors go with anything. The printed Levi's Logo on the back also looks really neat. I have also used these jeans for high-activity tasks like dancing or skateboarding, and they are not tight or constricting.Also, because these are in the Kids section, if you are a small guy like me, you will be paying about half what the "adult" sizes would cost you. After buying one Silt jean, I went back and bought two more Silt jeans and two Pewter because they are so cheap (at least when they are on sale).

I have a slim boy and was hoping these jeans would work well. Not. The waist is too large for the length, i.e. when they are a long enough size in the leg, the waist is too big around.They are simply a slim fit and would likely work well for a slightly heavier boy. We really liked the silver color, not "too" white and not grey. We ordered in both size 16 and size 18, but alas, the 16's were too short and the 18's were just right in the length but too big in the waist... so I'm preparing the return. Thank you Amazon for making that easy to do.These Levis are sized, for everyone's info, but only once you get them. It would be nice, helpful, if this info were in the product description.Size 16 regular is: 28 x 28 (W x L)Size 18 regular is: 29 x 29

My grandson is 5'7" and very thin...which will probably work out for him great as an adult, but right now he's just skinny! It's difficult to find jeans that are long enough in the inseam (these are 29") but small in the waist. This is a dropped waist which sits below the normal waistline and rests above the hips. They aren't his favorite but we haven't found a better fit yet although we're still looking. On the plus side, they are not the super skinny style which makes him look like a toothpick, but they are slim enough to be stylish. The graphite color is very nice and look a bit dressier. A second pair of the same model, the Green Machine (which are actually blue) was cut differently and were definitely too big in the waist so back they went.

Our son was five in April, but it is September and he's outgrown everything in the five year old size for height. Regular size 6 was ok for length, but large in the waste so he ended up with pants loose to make them long enough and then over the course of the day they'd actually drag in the dirt and be wet and filthy. With a small amount of waste synching (built in) these were perfect and he looked so long and lean in them it was amazing! He has a little room to grow which wasn't true of size 6. Also, he really liked the sliding fastener (not a button or snap).
