Easy to use, vibrant, simple clean up. Great for figured woods. CANNOT GO WRONG WITH THIS DYE
Pops the grain on figured wood (curly maple in my case), easy to achieve desired color, cleanup is simple. I was shocked to see how vibrant the color was even after just a single coat (wood was sanded with 220 at time of application). I was using a mix ratio of one ounce dye to one quart [32 oz] hot [nearly boiling] distilled water. of course that can be adjusted for smaller applications but I was preparing for a large drum set build so that's what led me to that large of a mix. Honestly, I was hesitant at first to try this powder dye being that i've almost exclusively used liquid dye concentrates for my projects but I was certainly happy with the results achieved after a few test runs on scrap wood I have accumulated. Cleanup, being that this is a water-soluble dye and not solvent-soluble, is a cinch. All I needed to clean up some spots was water (obviously) and a t-shirt cut-off. Just remember this is a dye not a stain so it does penetrate the wood not just sit on the surface.I WOULD gladly RECOMMEND this to anyone that is looking for a very vibrant blue and doesn't mind a little bit of science and math to mix to desired ratio. VERY HAPPY CUSTOMER!

Great Wood Dye
This Dye was easy to mix and use. Great color penetration and when dried takes a finish without rubbing off. Mix a little for a light tint or more for a darker tint!

Beautiful cobalt color
This dye has stayed a gorgeous cobalt even with multiple coats. It’s incredibly easy to use.

Excellent
Works wonderfully as directed.Useless for Cactus Juice and stabilization. I made a completely saturated mix (8oz juice and 8tsp powder) and agitated it for 48hrs with a rock tumbler. Tried to use it on Lombardi poplar (which is silver white) and got only the lightest tint in some areas. I had the same results with turquoise black and navy. It's a wonderful product...just not appropriate for my experiment.
