Hubby installed it himself. Very sturdy and tough looking. Review: Really impressed with this connector! Very well made, good terminals with screws and a nice "clamp down" on the wire (rear of plug). Robust enough to be easy to grab with gloves or mitts, this connector was my choice to repair several extension cords that had seen years of use. The only negative I had was to realize that the 3 screws that fasten the front of the plug to the rear are in a pattern so as to fit one way. I thought the three screws were in a equal triangle but they are not. This ate up some time and I stripped out some plastic and ruined one mounting hole (totally my own fault). Otherwise Recommended
