Sony WF-1000XM4 Noise Canceling Wireless Earbud Headphones - Black (Renewed)

Ok so first off: I bought these used/refurbished/renewed.. whatever. They were in practically new condition based on its finish wear and tear wise, however idk how it escapes Amazon to NOT CLEAN THE EARWAX OFF THE EARBUDS from the previous user. In terms of professionalism I’d give them a 1 or if 5 in terms of professionalism. I saw the warnings about earwax on renewed earbuds in the reviews and here I am testifying like the rest. Get toothpicks, q tips, gloves and rubbing alcohol remove the foam tips. I cleaned my to perfection and plugged them in.In terms of technology these bad boys are awesome. The sound stage is comparable to the sennheiser momentum 2’s I have. You won’t be disappointed in terms of sound quality I promise you. There’s a wide variety of functions and features that wowed me, we’re not just talking about a custom equalizer and basic anc controls. Sony can test the buds for air tightness to make sure you have the right tips in, custom controls for automatic active noise cancelation and ambient noise settings when you start talking and resumes seconds after you stop. This is dope. I love this feature. I travel to nyc on the train for work and by far this is the best active noise cancelation I’ve ever experienced. I haven’t dipped into the 3D audio features they touted in the tutorial (they have you photograph your ears in app as a scanning tool to make sure the sound is tailored to your ears?) but I can’t imagine what sounds better than I’m listening to lol. There are settings that lean toward better sound quality versus Bluetooth connectivity quality. There’s more for you to find out I can’t list everything, but Sony has definitely outdone themselves.With that said, Battery life is fantastic even with anc and high quality settings. Hours and hours of music and the case to recharge obviously. Case Has a great reserve for recharging.The fit and finish is great. They look very attractive. Matte black and copper [chef’s kiss*]You’re good to wear these for a few hours before they start to get a little sore but not bad at all. So my renewed earbuds came with foam ear tips. I’m not sure if the previous owner bought them, but from my understanding they come with factory silicone tips. I recommend the foam tips. Way more comfortable.No comply sells them for 25 bucks. The sku for the item is 35-42334-11 on their website. Buy the asurion protection. It’s worth it. I needed it for my sennheiser momentum buds and they were fantastic in replacing it. Other than that, just go for it. I got mine for $150. Amazing price, you won’t be disappointed. Get used to reading lips lmao

I don't write many Amazon reviews, but I would like to save anybody who reads this from having the experience I had, and from wasting their time with this product.These headphones were supposed to be "Excellent refurbished". I have bought refurbished items before from Amazon and eBay, and those items were indistinguishable from brand new. These, however, were obviously slightly used/dirty and it was immediately apparent they were not "like new". The earbuds case had residue of what can only be earwax. There's also a gap in the headphones where it appears the headphones can be taken apart and the battery can be replaced, etc, there is earwax/gunk INSIDE that gap on both headphones.Lastly, and most importantly the battery is garbage (like many others have noted). The left earbud drained about 20% in 10-15 minutes.I have the over-the-head Sony WH-1000XM4 headphones, and LOVE them. I purchased them refurbished as well, and have had no issues. These earbuds are the polar opposite of those headphones, and it's super disappointing from Sony. I was 100% okay with the semi-dirty condition these arrived in, but the battery drain is unacceptable. Save yourself the inconvenience of purchasing these, setting them up, and then simply having to package them up to return them.

I was a little skeptical ordering these I've been wearing bose wired soundsport headphones at work about 10 hours a day 4 days a week for the last 5 years. I took a chance on these because I had heard alot of complaints about the bose wireless headphones and I must say I'm very glad I did. The sound is amazing ANC works great i love having so many setting options from the app. My only complaint would be the fit they are a little tough on my ears, because I were them for long periods of time i find myself having to take them out for a while to give my ears a break. I ordered some new foam tips hopefully that will help with the fit other than that these are great ear buds give them a try you get 90 days to return If they don't work out for you. You've got nothing to lose.

No, there was no earwax. The buds arrived with just memory foam tips, which I elected to throw out since I didn't really feel like attempting to clean them. I am using rubber tips from an old broken pair instead.If I had to pay full retail for this I would probably have sent them back for a lower grade model since they appear to sound the same anyway but the pre-owned discount makes it more worthwhile. Soundwise they're actually pretty cruddy if left flat, but play around a bit with any kind of equalizer and you can get them up to speed. If you use Sony's heaphones app, whatever settings you have there stick no matter what device or app you use elsewhere which is useful, but it's also not quite as versatile as other apps might allow. The bass boost is a nice touch for fine tuning.Touch controls are fairly responsive, though there have been a few accidental presses when taking buds out or putting them in.Definitely not worth the full retail price, but if you get a decent enough discount then it's a pretty good buy.

I've used these for a couple years now and have grown to love them. Once I got used to the kinda unique shape I have no complaints. Big fan and I use them almost daily.
