This product was recommended to be by my Japanese friends. I knew they had more knowledge than I when it came to choosing Miso paste. They were right. I have bought these tubs of white miso several times. A couple of years ago, when I first started ordering, they came slightly damaged and were a bit darker. That has not been the case at all for a couple of years. They are fresh and well packaged. I would recommend.

I really like the mellow flavor of this miso. I use it to make soups, salad dressings and vegan cheeses. Its really a good value and I appreciate that its is organic. The one thing I do not like is that the lid won't stay on. It is very flimsy and if something nudges it in the frig, it pops off. Not a freak thing, I've been buying this for years and they all do it. I finally decided to put it in a plastic bag (the twist and tie kind, and I keep it on the door of the frig and this is working out well now.

Was super excited to try this but was so disappointed when I opened the package and both containers were busted and leaking miso. Not sure how to get a refund on this because they both went straight to the trash. Would not buy again.
