Gemini DJ system
Needed to replace my Gemini CDX-2250 DJ all in one system due to a cd player not working…after 6 years of good service. (Originally purchased from Amazon in 2016.)The new item was the Gemini CDS-2250i for $288 which I received on time for my next gig. Out of the nice freshly packaged box I plugged it in and tested all functionality and everything worked nicely. Mounted it into my rack system, everything worked perfect! Powered it up at the gig and all went well! I’m back in the saddle again.With CDs a dying bread it was hard to find this type of system, but Amazon had it. (Would recommend buying it new vs refurbished or used…for peace of mind.)

Nice DJ experience at a fraction of the cost
Bought it to replace an old Stanton dual CD player mixer. This works great, adding the usb flashdrive feature for mp3 was perfect

Gemini Bad for Business.
Gemini sent me a defective player. I returned it for repair, and they sent me a used/refurbished unit with a different serial number and missing screws. They stop respond to my email.

fast forward scrolling and reverse scrolling is way to slow!!
the item arrived without issue. after some use, it seems to work, OK, but there are are some things worth noting. the good: it is the size that i was looking for. it does play CDs. the bad: it is very slow to load. the jog wheel is too big. fast forward advancing through tracks is very, very slow. reversing through tracks is slow and there is no way to scroll backward into the previous track. the display is actually too bright for my taste, and the button layout is not very intuitive or that user friendly.immediately out of the box it has worked fine without any real major problems,but here are some discs it does not read.the USB feature means nothing to me.i really wish that the fast forward track searching was not such a joke on this unit.i also really wish that gemini would stop changing product designs to include USB MP3 and laptop versatility.not everyone is trying to be a laptop or thumb drive dj.the newer designed units are all in one, which is not the best for everyone.the product works ok for my needs, but it is not the best.

One of the only dual cd/usb rack mounts still available
This is one of the only dual cd/usb rack mounts still available. I needed rack mounts for a studio setup not the Pioneer style table tops. I had a Denon from the late 90's but it finally gave out, it didnt play usb's either. I was hesitant with it being Gemini, always known as a budget brand but its been impressive. Its still new but so far I recommend it.

Easy to Operate
This was purchase as a new component for a new sound system. It was very easy to learn it’s operation. Currently it’s not in a rack cabinet; the situation called for a taller operating cabinet than could be found online for only 4 items. It is used in a church and functions extremely well. We connect to the unit’s rca outs and into a mixer board with2 3 prong inputs ( I’m so new to this that I forgot the connection’s name. )
