Works great for a red eared slider toddler. I travel often and installed the feeder on my aquarium to ensure the little turtle is properly fed when I'm not around. For my application and the current size of my turtle, this feeder works great and so far, I've been able to meter just the right amount of food. Filling up the container, allows it to last quite a long time. So far, after the first filling, it has lasted nearly four weeks. I'm very impressed at the ease of use. I press the 24hr feeder button to dispense and it will repeat the process every 24 hours at the same time. This is exactly what I was looking for and this met the need perfectly.Before installing the feeder, I used to fill a small crevice on the turtle's platform with food. The turtle would constantly go back and forth to the water to be able to eat the food. With the feeder, I positioned it about half way up the ramp and half on the water so it scatters the food. This encourages the turtle to hunt for the food providing it a good reason for it to swim more. She seems to really like it and I've had no issues with the feeder moving out of place whatsoever.I'm about to refill the container for the first time since I bought it a month ago now. Overall, solid, practical, and just works.

The build quality is solid, and it operates quietly and efficiently.However, I did encounter an issue with the amount of food dispensed, particularly for my smaller tank. Initially, the feeder dispensed more food than necessary, which can be problematic in smaller aquariums where overfeeding can quickly lead to water quality issues. To remedy this, I placed a piece of tape over part of the dispenser’s mouth. This simple modification allowed me to better control the portion size, ensuring my fish received the right amount of food without overloading the tank.This adjustment was a small but necessary step to make the feeder work for my specific needs. It’s something to be mindful of for those with smaller tanks. Adjusting the dispensing mechanism or using a similar modification can help prevent overfeeding.Apart from this, the feeder has been a great help. It’s been reliable in dispensing food at the set times, and I haven’t encountered any jamming or malfunctioning issues. The peace of mind it offers, knowing my fish are fed even when I’m not around, is invaluable.

We bought this fish feeder because we were going out of town for a week and didn’t have anyone available to come by and feed the fish.It was very easy to set up and gave us peace of mind knowing they would have food while we were away. We’ve continued using it even after our trip, and it’s been working great. It lets you choose the amount and how often to feed.

They said it’s automatic but you need to do it manually cause the food after few days they stop working automatically

Even if this fish feeder works in the beginning don't trust it to keep your fish alive.We excited to go on our trip for three weeks, but we wanted to make sure our fish were taken care of when we were gone. We purchased this automatic fish feeder and had it running the week before we left to make sure it worked. We were pleased when it worked as expected, but the idea "working" did not last.Fast forward, to our return home three weeks later and we all walk in the house wondering what is that smell. We looked at the fish tank to see nothing but black water. The feeder at some point emptied all the contents which clogged the filter so the water was not circling or getting air in it. The filter got so hot it warped the plastic background that we had on the outside of the tank. We can at the fish did not die hungry. On top of that, we need a new filter system because ours is now burt out.

Buen producto, cumple para lo que esta hecho, lo único. Que no me gustó es que solo puedes elejir la programación que alimente cada 8,12 o 24 hrs, y cada vez que lo cambias suelta comida, así que son detalles que complican un poco el uso y programación.
