Excellent quality
I absolutely Love these scissors! I I have been sewing for a long time and have purchased good scissors but never quite this quality! They cut through fabric like magic! I bought these used but new in the box! I wasn’t sure I wanted to spend that much on scissors, but I should have bought some a long time ago!

worth it
I have been using these scissors for over a year now and I love them! A little heavy, but since they spring back open it is ok. They are sharp and cut through my fabric like butter

Smooth cutting
I'm a life time Fiskars user. My mom had them and that's all I ever knew for 40 years. A few years ago I bought a pair of 4 inch spring loaded Gingher embroidery scissors on eBay for $10 to use for crocheting. I LOVED them. Then I lost them, but they were so great that I bought them a second time. I now have both pair. Then I saw these on Amazon. I had them in my "save for later" list for a couple months before I bit the bullet. DON'T WAIT! They will seriously change your sewing life. I've been using a rotary cutter for years now since I mainly did quilting and crafty sewing. Those don't work so well when making clothing. Now that I sew nearly everything I wear, good shears were a must. Using these on fabric is like using a hot knife on butter. I can cut through any fabric with no effort. They are heavier than Fiskars orange handle aluminum(?) scissors, but it's like comparing a knife you bought at the Dollar Tree to a quality knife. Heavier, yes. More efficient? Oh yeah! Gingher is now my brand for life.

Love the spring back
Great pair of scissors. The spring action will be very helpful as I age, and fingers get tired. Smooth cut and nice weight.

Not as comfortable as fiskars but way prettier!
I primarily sew casual garments and use these scissors to cut light to medium weight fabric. I got these because I LOVE using the fiskars spring action scissors, but I store my scissors on my wall and I think all of the colors fiskars offers for those scissors are HIDEOUS! The blades feel quite smooth and nice. However, since they are all metal, they don’t feel as comfortable and light as the fiskars. I sometimes dust gets into the springs and they get stuck, but so far I’ve been able to just open and close them a few times and they go back to normal… I hope this does not get worse over time. Another issue I worry about, is the grip that holds the scissors closed wearing out over time. When I close the scissors, I tend to feel like I’m wearing down the grip. In the few months that I’ve had these, I haven’t had any problems, but I imagine this would be a problem after a few years of use.In the end, I still use my fiskars scissors because they are more functional. I’m still glad I got these because they are more comfortable to use than regular scissors, and way prettier than the alternatives.

Simple, reasonably priced, effective
My favorite scissors are dull and my sharpening guy isn't doing any sharpening until after the holidays! No, no, no; I have gifts to make. So, on a whim, I bought these. I love the spring action of one of my thread nippers and so, what the heck -- I'll try these. These are darn-near the same as my plain old Gingher 8" scissors, but with a spring and a lock. I love the spring, as it decreases tension on my hands and wrists. None of us are getting any younger and so the spring action is a neat feature.Sadly, my locking mechanism requires Mike Tyson strength to unlock/lock. I'm not sure if I'm just weak, the lock is too tight, or a combination of both, but I'm struggling. For safety reasons, I keep my scissors locked. I don't want my 3yr-old having at em. Luckily, my sewing cabinet has a high bar for hanging things. So, up high and unlocked these will stay; however, that kinda defeats the purpose of having these locking scissors within reach for me and easily accessible.
