Poor quality, looks like it may last a week. I wish I could send it back but I don't have the time. I can't believe amazon woukd back such a disgraceful product... maybe Walmart has something nicer . I won't be ordering anything from Amazon on again. Can't wait to tell everyone I know how I feel

I just received an Alligator wallet with money clip by Yoder Leather works. Compared to more expensive Alligator wallets which I have been tempted to buy this wallet falls short in many ways. I'll get to those in a minute but I purchased this for the following reasons after doing some initial research. I liked that it was made in the USA by a small business owner and is hand made. That being said I still expect it to be a quality product. On to the review. As others have noted the scale pattern shown in the furnished picture of the product is not what I received. The scales are much, much larger as you can see from the pictures I've taken. Of course I don't expect every alligator to have the same scale pattern but if that is the reason maybe it should be noted. The overall finish of the wallet is very shiny. Much more than Alligator watch bands I've purchased. The feel is very slippery. Something tells me that this isn't the way the hide is naturally and that some sealant or coating has been put over the leather to give it this look. The feel of the wallet is very stiff, I say this only as an observation not a criticism, since I'm wiling to believe that in time it may soften up. The pockets for your credit cards are equally small and tight. Perhaps in time they will soften up as well. For now getting credit cards in and out is very challenging to say the least. As for the workmanship the stitching is not very good. What I mean by that is it's not very straight. I realize this is hand made but I would expect the person doing the stitching to be able to stitch in a straight line. If this is the best that an American made product can offer then I would rather pay the higher price and get an Italian made wallet at least I know the stitching will be straight. Now the big question, would I buy this again and would I recommend it? for now I am not going to return it since the price was not that much. I am going to hold onto it and use it for a while and report back how it goes. But for right now I would not buy anything else from Yoder leather or recommend others to. The lower price and USA made is attractive but they need to step up the overall quality and appearance of the product. If that means raising the price a little, I'm fine with that. But at this time my overall first impressions of this wallet are not great. I've given it three stars but I'm not sure yet if it deserves it. If the wallet softens up a bit over time and it becomes easier to get credit cards in and out then I think the 3 stars are deserving but it loses a couple because if the workmanship and because what I received is not entirely the same as what is pictured.

I ordered this wallet to replace a similar product that I have used for years. The leather was very nice, the magnet was strong. The pockets were a tad small, but it would likely stretch over time. Overall, it is a nice product, but I ended up returning it. The leather is thick and the profile view was thicker than I wanted. I was looking for something more sleek. I would describe it as "rugged". If you're looking for a "rough look", this is for you.
