Leather Journal Cover for 3.5"x5.5" Hardcover Notebook, Rustic Handmade Leather Notebook Cover Compatible with Moleskine, Pocket-Sized Hardcover Notebook, Coffee

This journal cover is just what I was looking for. It holds my Moleskine 3 X 5 journal perfectly. I like that it has a pen holder, which my last journal cover didn't have. It appears to be well made and will hopefully last for years to come.

So far I've been thoroughly enjoying this leather cover. It fits the Moleskine hardcover pocket notebooks perfectly, and the fact there's a sleave instead of a pocket is a big plus functionality-wise. It means you can still use the loop band to keep the notebook closed (I've done some searching and most other covers like to use a closed pocket). The snap clasp seems sturdy and I haven't detected any looseness to it. Stitching has held up well through a couple trips to Japan and the US. And I was able to fit things like my Passport inside it no problem. The leather seems genuine, but I'm not a big expert on leather and probably couldn't tell the difference between real leather and faux leather. Either way the leather looks good and doesn't have that plastic faux leather appearance. I have two personal gripes, but I don't think it's necessarily fair to remove a star for these. 1) The pen loop doesn't fit any of my smaller fountain pens (Pilot Lightive or LAMY Safari) unfortunately. A ~13mm diameter seems to be about all it can handle. Fountain pens tend to run thicker than ballpoints though and my TUL rollerballs fit it just fine. 2) While it fits the Moleskine hardcover pocket notebook perfectly, it's unfortunately just slightly too small for the Leuchtturm 1917 A6 pocket notebook which has better paper than the Moleskine. I could make it fit by really jamming it into the notebook sleave, but that seems to put too much strain on the stitching and would probably shorten the life of the cover unnecessarily. I'd probably buy another if they made an A6 sized leather cover because I haven't found a cover like this one. The Leuchtturm 1917 A6 is 3.5 x 5.9 inches (90 × 150 mm), the Moleskine Pocket notebook is 3.5 x 5.5 inches. If you intend to put a notebook closer to 6 inches, it's going to be a very snug fit. Again, these two points don't detract from the cover, it fits things as advertised.

This is a beautiful and perfect cover for my Moleskine pocket-size hard cover (it would also easily work with the soft cover version). I have the weekly 18-month version and even with the larger thickness it fits fine. The leather is akin to those higher price versions out there: deep, rich color (I purchased the 'wine' color), lovely stitching, perfect fit, inside pockets, sturdy closure. I can tell it will age beautifully and develop a wonderful patina. The leather seems to be of a higher quality. The cover arrived very quickly and was packaged beautifully! The outer box is was tied with twine like a gift and inside the cover was in a soft fabric bag. Also inside was a lovely postcard and bookmark as well. Wonderful little touches that honestly made my day! You will be very happy with this cover for your planner! I highly recommend!

My wife gifted me 14 notebooks (3.5 x 5.5) from a sale, knowing my passion of old style note taking! Got the suggestion from Amazon (what a surprise) for this leather cover, including a pen loop! All I wanted to have… and store my favorite pen with! Another gift from the best wife! Well, I love it! Only the cut out for the rubber band does not align with the book! But sliding in, the booklet has a good hold! And the making feels and looks good! That’s why 4 stars (only)! As well as the coloring is not - dry! Don’t use it with a white shirt in the beginning!

Excellent quality! I spent a lot of time researching similar journals and this by far the best at this price point. I picked up the coffee color and am thinking about getting another one as last minute gift idea.

This cover was made with beautiful, soft leather. It appears to be handmade just as the description claims. It is very well made and will certainly last for many years. Definitely worth the price.

Very nice little journal cover. A bargain at this price. The red rubs off a little on the paper inside, but nothing bad.
