Rhino Rack Pioneer Platform Rooftop Cargo System 60" x 54" (52101F), Black

Installed this on my 19 Jeep Wrangler JL. After watching a YouTube video a couple times it was fairly easy just time consuming. I 1st installed the Rhino Rack Backbone system then used the 6 locking low profile Rhino Rack rail mounts Pioneer compatible to the Pioneer Platform. I installed a electric hoist in my barn so lifted the Platform with it and installed on my Jeep and squared the rack to my Jeep hardtop front to back side to side. The rack is strong and solid as can be. Now just waiting on my roof top tent to be delivered. Ordered the Intepid Goe 2.5 roof top tent. No more sleeping in the ground tent!. Static load rating of 800 pounds, Dynamic load of 264 pounds and a offroad load limit of 176 pounds. Nice rack take your time, watch YouTube videos for install then referring to the directions is understandable more. I highly recommend it if you have time (several hours) to assemble it. It was all worth it.

After having one of those Amazon roof baskets for a year, it started to rust pretty good. The basket was very limiting on what I could put on the roof, and it ended up not being ideal for me. I go camping and try to be pretty remote, while also being comfortable. I bring a bunch of stuff, chairs, tents, firewood, etc. This platform is much better suited for that, since it has no walls. It's insanely high quality, which comes at a price. This is a $500+ roof rack. That's not cheap. If you're actively going into the wilderness and you want a product that won't give out on you, this is your ideal. This will not break, rust, or fail you. Again, at a high cost. I am very happy with this, and I do recommend it for helping that will utilize its carrying and mounting abilities frequently. I currently have a lockable box and an awning mounted on it. I have built a solar shower, but i didn't do a good job putting it together. I am also adding a shower tent, spare tire carrier (to make room for a fridge in my trunk), and potentially a canoe down the road. For now, it will hold what I mentioned, plus a few long items like tents and chairs. I would not hesitate to support Rhino Rack in the future.

Of all the aftermarket gear I’ve purchased for my 2024 Tacoma this is by far the best engineering and design. It’s as solid as a rock and has a great many parts to assemble but they do a great job of making it fit. My only beef is that they get very proprietary about mounting it on the vehicle. The t-slot nuts are extremely over priced as well as the backbone system. But the tray is beautiful.

First impressions then I’ll update when done. Instructions are garbage. So even if you’re going to have your product manufactured in China, you can’t take the time to put a sticker on the screws so they have a letter that matches the screwed up directions.? You go to the trouble to call everything ABC DEFGHIJK and then you have bags of screws that have Chinese characters on them so we get a decipher which screw you’re talking about also there was rust on the front edge of the leading and so basically I’m gonna have Rush showing on the front of the thing

Fantastic product when used with backbone system very sleek, aerodynamic. But very strong and durable. Couldn't be happier with how it looks and works.

Nice build quality. Good packaging. Only 4 stars because the corner pieces are plastic, so it’s probably just a matter of time until they fade color. Frame assembly is easy. Alignment may take a bit. Speaking of - this is not a clip on and off kind of product that you put on for a weekend trip. Creates some wind noise, but way less than the Yakima Offgrid roof basket on my other car. Nice modular system if you’re into added features.

I dislike you have to do a bunch of research as to what you need to order for mounting to jeep. Then in installation instructions it has a ir scan that doesn't take you to the spacing for cross bars but to order page to buy a new rack.

This is a VERY expensive product but for what it does and can do, it is fantastic. I purchased this to sit on top of cross bars over my truck bed where i can place the rooftop tent, cargo box, recovery boards and privacy awning. All of the possible mounting places make this almost impossible to NOT be able to do what you want. If not a Rhino Rack product, it will still most likely fit in to the channels and secure your cargo (such as the ROAM rugged cargo box mount). So many accessories and channels for mounting, this is a great investment. Strong, sturdy and functional

I would have rated this a 5 star but if you are mounting this to any Aerobar from Thule or Yakima you wouldn't be able to. Rhino Rack part#43214 is obsolete and is not being sold any more.
