Banana Boat, Summer Color Self-Tanning Lotion, Deep Dark Color for All Skin Tones, 6 oz

I have tried maybe 5 or 6 different self tanners, some value ones like this and some luxury ones. Truthfully the expensive ones weren’t worth it in my experience.This doesn’t tan very dark, but this is fine because it just adds some natural color, isn’t orange or streaky, doesn’t stain my bedding or clothes, and is only faintly smelly. (I am GROSSED OUT by the stench of self tanners once the tan develops. It can be nicely scented lotion but once it soaks in and develops you get that gross musty odor. This one barely smells at all!) I’d definitely be happy to purchase again. This is among the best I have tried.Also even with washing hands after applying, my palms are faintly orange so if that bothers you, maybe wear a mitt.

Then I just repeat the cycle! Once dry, it doesn’t transfer onto clothes or sheets, which is a huge plus.Normally, I can't stand the smell of self-tanners, but this one is different. I love how easy it is to use and how natural the color looks on my skin.I apply it right out of the shower while my legs are still slightly damp, which helps it spread evenly without streaks. The lotion absorbs quickly and gives me a nice, sun-kissed glow without looking orange or fake.One important tip: don’t forget to wash your hands right after applying it to avoid staining your palms! I love this for its ease of use and negligible odor. It is a white cream and doesn't stain your hands or clothes. The color is natural, but nowhere near what I'd call dark. Just a faint tan. I use it on my face and even if I use it every day it will not get any darker.

I have used this self-tanner for a few years. I am fair-skinned and use the Deep Dark Color. I used my hands to apply and squirt a nickel-size amount. I then lightly spread between hands and then dot my legs with the lotion, starting with calves and feet. I take caution when spreading. This is not tinted--my one complaint--so you can cause streaks, if you're not careful. In other words, go slowly and carefully one section at a time. I start with calves and feet, then move to thighs with same process of dotting thigh with lotion and then carefully rubbing in. I do the same with upper body--neck, then shoulders, then forearms. This process has worked well for me and I don't have to use a mitt. The scent is light but is still detectable. I will often do lower body one day and upper body next to avoid a noticeable self-tanning odor. I don't use it on my face but will use bronzer, instead.

Amazing! This product goes on so easily and the color is perfect. I applied the first time and as the bottle reads, waited 3 hours and applied again. This was more of a touch up the second time in places that I needed more! Perfect price too…I will buy more!

I have used this product for years and years. I loved the tint which gave a light tan right away and showed where you put it so you could avoid streaks. Now the tint is gone I of course got streaks the first time I used it. At least it still tans as well, same rich color, not bright orange.Bring back the tint!!!
