10018 Solid Brass Window Squeegee, 18-Inch , Yellow

Great squeegee. I've bought quite a few of these over the years and they're high quality and work really well. If you're going to buy a squeegee buy a good one like this. Don't waste your money on the cheapo plastic ones.

I'm just a homeowner and like to DYI maintenance to save money on home services and washing windows is pretty simple to do on your own instead of paying a service - even on a larger home as I have. Investing little on pro tools can make the job go faster and make it easier with better results. This is a great tool if you want to get pro results and recommend it even to a home owner. It works far better than the one that I purchased from the local big box hardware store. Get this, a wide window 'mop' and a wide water bucket and that is all you need. Just look up simple 'recipes' for window cleaning solutions which tend to be just some dish washing soap and maybe a bit of white vinegar and you are on your way to cleaner windows! Sometimes simple is best.

I first bought this squeegee in November 2020 (for $15) along with the 12-inch (for $13) because I wanted something more durable than plastic and more reliable than brush attachments, and both have done wonders for my car windows and windshield. The medium-weight gold-colored handles look and feel tough and sturdy, almost as if they could be a great self-defense weapon if needed! The blades themselves are easy to replace and with a few swipes (and the right cleaning solution), clear away everything from flies to ink and mud stains without leaving any streaks. I cannot comment on their effectiveness on other kinds of windows as they are only used for the car, but presumably they would perform similarly. The “Ettore 10018 Solid Brass Window Squeegee, 18-Inch, Yellow” and the 12-inch are great introductions to effective, long-lasting (they still hold up to this day) squeegees and for all of this they get a respectable 4/5 stars!

One of my homes is a 1928 Spanish Colonial and it has the original glimmer glass windows. The glass is not perfectly flat so getting a nice clean, streak free finish can be a challenge. The Ettore product line is simply the best and the most durable. The solid brass construction is strong and allows you control while you're cleaning any window surface. I've purchased 3 different sizes for different window applications and they all have worked great over the years. What is also nice is these allow you to replace the rubber when needed. I've nicked one and just purchased the replacement on Amazon's site. You'll be happy with the results and the quailty of Ettore products!

I have a mid-century modern with 50 feet of 10' floor to ceiling windows. I only cleaned them once (with Stoner Invisible Glass, a great glass cleaner), and knew that I needed a professional cleaning approach. My poor arm couldn't take another 10 hours. So off to the internet I went... It didn't take long to see the Ettore name over and over. Reading about them, their founder invented the modern squeegee. The company is also still family owned, and still make some of their products in the USA. Those are the type of businesses I like to support, so Ettore it was. I bought the 18" brass squeegee because it seemed like the right size for my job. I was very relieved to see the "MADE IN THE USA" on the package, and stamped into the brass. This squeegee is definitely heirloom quality, and I'm sure I will never need to buy another 18" in my lifetime. I will be adding a 12" brass for any smaller windows. I have cleaned many hundreds of square feet of glass since I got it a week ago, and the blade shows very little wear and is very much streak free. I never thought I'd be excited to clean glass, but when you can do a professional job in about 45 seconds (max) for a 4' x 6' window... It is actually kinda fun. I would definitely recommend this 18" brass squeegee by Ettore. I will be buying others.

Works pretty well. We bought it for the shower to finish squeegee'ing the glass quickly, but it's really too large for the shower. I'm sure it would be fine on a pole for outdoor use.
