Car Mobility Aid Auto Hand Grip - Stability & Independence Getting in and Out of Cars

I am so grateful to have these. We have been struggling for years trying to get my elderly parents in and out of our suv. They usually try to grab the handle that's on the roof but it is often out of reach. This is the perfect go between having us on the back of the seat for them to easily reach up and pull themselves in securely. What a helpful idea. I recommend this to anybody that has kids or seniors that need just a little boost to get in and out of the vehicle.

Overall, I like the product idea and it's a decent quality item. Sadly, I could not use it in my vehicle because the headrests will not come out from the seat. Passed it along to another who could use it, and it works well. The foam could be a bit more robust. It's a good simple product and a simple idea at a low cost.

These have been a lifesaver. My mom is 91 and I just bought a minivan. Because her and my dad both use walkers, and she was having the most difficult time finding something to grasp on to pull herself into the van. So I purchased these and connected them to the front seat head rest. And now she's able to grab on to that and pull herself in. They are incredibly sturdy, and I don't worry about her breaking it.When she pulls on it, it's just exactly what I needed.And it fits into the car without being in the way of anything.

The only reason for the three stars here is that it is not long enough for our little Mother to grab onto. Yes, she is short but standing outside the vehicle and reaching into grab this is not working. If this came in a longer size it would truly be helpful as I can see where this would be a great mobility aid to help her into the car. It attached easily and seems to be well made and sturdy. Just not working for us at this length.

As a LYFT driver I thought theses hand grips might be helpful to my riders. According to the car manual, the 2014 Chevy Impala headrest are "designed to not be removed". And my best effort confirmed this to be true. Therefore I had to use a quick chain link to install the hand grips. The installation was easy using the chain links. The hand grips appear to be secure however time will tell if the rope is strong enough to endure heavy use.. The hand grip does make it easier to get in and out of the back seat and the price was very reasonable. The real test will begin tomorrow when I hit the road and pick up riders. I'll update my review in a month or so and let you know if riders found them useful and how they held up. For the moment I'm giving it 5 stars.

This is one of those "Why didn't I think of that" ideas. Ridiculously easy to install. Very convenient to use. After a leg surgery I had a hard time pulling myself into the car (van) because there were not enough hand holds in convenient places to grab on to. These hand holds worked like a charm. The only comment I have is I don't remember seeing anywhere in the write-up that these came two to a package, so I ordered two of them, which ended up being four hand grips. That turned out to fortuitous because I could install the extra set on the back seats making it easier for passengers to climb in the third row seats of the van.

Helpful for my elderly mother and disabled sister.

Best invention ever. This is the third car I have used them in. Makes getting in and out of car so easy.

Excellent Hand Grips. Really sturdy and helpful when getting into back seats of vehicle.

Make sure you can remove the headrest in your car. One of mine did not. Also a bit of a tight fit.
