Turtle Wax T-280RA Chrome Polish & Rust Remover - 12 Fl Oz.

I’ve been using this product for at least 20 years and it works very well at removing up to moderate rust and leaves a really good shine with a protective coating. Read and follow the directions carefully and use a good microfiber cloth for removal at least after the polish has fully dried(rotate microfiber if it’s a large area like a motorcycle muffler). The shine will be better with a microfiber ( There are a lot of microfibers on Amazon and I don’t trust product reviews but the ones from Chemical Guys are very good and not that expensive if you get them in packs of larger packs. There is point where if the rust is so bad that it won’t get it all off but it will look much better. I’ve used a buffing wheel and it will remove a bit more. Won’t don’t anything for scratches. Try Simichrome really good product, and it’s got a light grit. Kinda pricey but worth it. It will do well on light scratches and make deeper ones look better. A lot goes along way so use half of what you think you need to start.

My dad and I wash the cars every other weekend and we came to realize that the wheel and exhaust cleaning was something that we largely neglected in DIY the car washing process. I dont know much about cars, so I googled how to properly clean chrome car parts and stumbled across youtube video tutorials where the vlogger used this same exact product to clean their chrome parts with great success. I was sold on the product's effectiveness in the video so I ordered it to try for myself! And finally, our chrome wheels and exhaust pipes are now ridiculously shiny. It removed years worth of filth dirt and soot and other nastiness. It's super simple and straight forward in its application. I applied the polish with an old cloth, allow to dry, wiped it off to reveal a satisfyingly shiny chrome! Its excellent for the price, and the product seems to really maintain the shine for weeks after its use. A+++++++++++++++!!!

The rubbing material is too soft for chromium. Amazing job on aluminum or bakelite.

This stuff works pretty well. It was able to remove the beginnings of rust from my Corvette's chrome wheels. Now they look good as new. It's suggested to write about the smell - what's to say? It smells good to me.

This is the best chrome polish on the market. Really shines up old or dirty chrome.

We live by the beach and I use this to prevent rust and pitting on my chrome bumper. 99.5% effective if you apply it every month.

This product did not perform very well at all as a rust remover. Probably works well as a polish on good or barely rusted chrome. But helping clean up a more rusted piece of chrome is out of the question.

I purchased this to polish up some dull chrome roof rails and trim on my GMC Acadia Denali. They weren't terrible but this did the trick. I then stumbled across some take-off wheels which I purchased from FB Marketplace. They were very corroded and I had doubts about how well this product would work. I had nothing to lose. The pictures speak for themselves. I didn't use any kind of polishing cloth or rag - just put on some rubber gloves (mostly to keep my hands from drying out) and rubbed the product directly onto the wheels. I wiped off with a microfiber towel. Wow. This is a great, affordable product. Note: the corrosion and pitting spots are permanent and the loose chrome was removed before polishing
