My absolute favorite penetrating lube with some caveats.
PB Blaster is an excellent penetrating oil and lubricant for almost any mechanical need that doesn't involve open flame or extremely high temperatures. It should also be used in a well-ventilated area. It is derived from naphtha which is created during the initial refining of crude oil so it is a hydrocarbon, like gasoline, natural gas, etc. and should be treated with similar respect and caution. If you read the Material safety data sheet (MSDS), you will find warnings about potential for respiratory and skin complications and even brain damage from prolonged exposure. Hey, it's a petroleum based solvent, what do you expect?Used properly, I think it's the best overall solvent/lubricant available, certainly more effective as a penetrating oil and long term lube than WD-40 and Tri-Flow, in my opinion ( stress "my OPINION").Any solvent, oil, lubricant, aerosol that is petroleum based should be used with caution. Water is a solvent too and it can be dangerous if you hold your head in a bucket full of it for a prolonged period of time!I use it on hinges, locks, window cranks, gun parts, faucet handles, anything that squeaks and is made of metal. I also spray it on my rotary push mower blades after each use to keep the blades sharp and healthy. I spray it on garden hose couplings, scissors, squeaky wheels and even my nose hair trimmer. If it wasn't unhealthy to digest, I would spray some on my cat to stop his constant meowing when I'm trying to take a nap. When used indoors, I make sure the room is well ventilated and have a fan going or a window open if possible. You don't need much! A LITTLE spray will be plenty on most projects if given time to penetrate.Since like substances tend to emulsify each other, it can be used to clean heavier oils and I like to use it to clean carbon deposits off of firearms; it's a lot safer than carbon tetrachloride and I think it's almost as effective. Again, MY OPINION.One last warning: If you are blind - I am totally blind - take care not to store it in the kitchen as the can is similar enough to PAM food spray that I actually once sprayed PAM on a door hinge before my son decided to tell dad what he was doing. As of yet, to the best of my knowledge, I have not used PB Blaster while scrambling eggs. I don't have any sense of smell either so even if you're as blind as I am, you should normally be able to smell the difference between PAM and PB Blaster. And before I get comments: yes I know that I could just put a simple raised label on the can to identify it, but that would make things too easy and I like the daily challenge, it keeps me alert.

helps free up those "frozen" bolts and nuts
I replaced the factory front suspension on my Mustang and came across some nuts and bolts that were not only a bit corroded but were factory tight. This product really helped freeing up those nuts and bolts. Spray it on and let it penetrate. Works pretty good

Works!
I normally use another brand but I thought I should try this one because so many people rave about it and it had a spray feature which my other brand does not and I needed to get way in there. After letting it sit for an awhile, the bolts came out easily. I don't know if the bolts would have come out without the spray but I didn't want to take the chance. I like it but it does waste a lot cause it sprays all over.

Amazing
I burned half a can of WD-40 trying to bust bolts off my car's exhaust. This stuff did in 2 hours what WD-40 failed to do in 32 hours...SHAKE THE CAN BEFORE USE. Apply on and around rusty bolt. Then let it sit for about two hours and take it on with a long wrench.I found if the bolt is still tough, spray more and come back in an hour and try again. Got nearly every bolt off (minus one stuck in a tough spot to wrench anyways)

It works!
I was absolutely amazed at how well this worked! I used other products that are supposed to work equally as well, but nothing Solved my problem until I got this! I was trying to remove the brass ring from my shower cartridge and it was not budging. A few squirts of this product and 10 minutes later I could almost unscrew it by hand. It was that loose.

Really works
This product works like magic. I had a rusted metal bolt that has probably been on my toilet since the 60's. I needed to replace it and I or anybody else could get it to budge. So of coarse I googled how to get it off and it recommended this stuff. I bought it, sprayed it on, and within a 1/2 an hour the bolt was off!Highly recommend

This senior citizen got very rusted nuts and bolts BLASTED off
I typically only write reviews if I feel very strongly about something, whether it be negative or positive. I give a big thumbs up to Blaster. I am a 62 year old woman with a bad shoulder and somewhat arthritic hands who does not like asking for help. For $20 I purchased a circa 1980's metal (iron) 4' x 8' open trailer for my electric pedal boat. I don't think this poor trailer was ever out of the weather. WD40 did not loosen the nuts and bolts. Blaster did. The way I used it was as directed...don't be shy about laying it on. I blasted all the nuts and bolts and left them while I worked on other areas, rust proofing, getting ready to paint, etc., then blasting again, a few or more times over a few days and just leaving well enough alone. This morning I went out and, just using a cheap old ratchet, was truly amazed to find that the nuts just turned, even to some extent using my fingers! Now, they did catch again after several turns and needed another blast, but voila, kept up its progress. This was my experience; spraying the nuts and bolts quite liberally a few or more times periodically over a few days, then taking them off (and, again, spraying a bit here and there as they stalled at times on the threads). If you expect to loosen a lot of very rusted nuts and bolts over a very short period of time, like a day project, I don't know if you'll get the same results as I didn't "test" them right away;, but my experience of giving them a spray a couple of times a day over a few days and then going after them, and spraying again if they stick, worked for me. I was pleasantly surprised.
