The Outsiders The Complete Novel (2021 restoration)

I can remember reading the book back in the late 80’s in school, the whole class has to read it,Then our teacher surprised us by bringing in the movie for us to watch in school. Back in those days it was on vhs,It was brilliant to watch. Such a great movie.But as the years rolled on, it was still great to watch,Can remember owning this on BluRay and yes it was made better to watch on that format.But here we are in 2021 and they decided to release the 4k Restoration of the movie.Wow the movie has never looked better. Was expecting it to be high grained but I was surprised to see it was nice fine grain to the movie.Was very happy with The Complete Novel version, the boxset is brilliant,Comes with Complete Novel and Theatrical versions on 4k, you also get both on BluRay too, along with the soundtrack to the movie.There is a nice booklet, 2 posters, postcards and a badge you get in this box set.Would definitely recommend this to anyone, definitely worth it. Especially if you are a lover of this movie!!

Not sure what the heck is going on with this but the longer version on disc one has had music unnecessarily added to it over pretty much all scenes which makes it really hard to hear the dialogue and does not match the mood of the film AT ALL!!! disc one is good for the bin only l. Watch disc two if you’ve never seen this film before otherwise it will ruin experience of such a great film.

A great coming of age movie with an all star cast. Sound is good with soundbar the movie is dialogue mainly from the centre speaker. Picture is grainy but still nicely remastered. Well worth buying.

I loved this film when I first saw it many years ago & I always will, they were all young when they starred in this film, very talented actors, such a huge very sad loss when Patrick swayze died of pancreatic cancer, he was super amazingly very talented,one of the best.

I bought this for nostalgia after reading SE Hinton's book. Does not disappoint. Made me want to cry for the state of modern film.

I’d never heard of this film until it popped up in suggestions. So many well faces, but I didn’t feel the story flowed very well for me. I won’t spoil it, but very much doubt I’d watch again to be honest
