Gamblin 1980 Oil Mars Black 37Ml

I am a novice painter, I've been painting maybesix months in my spare time. I started with acyrlics and decided after a few weeks that wasn't for me. Since that I've purchased the least expensive oil paints, not wanting to invest unless I knew I liked this type of painting . With the paints that were "less expensive" the process was very painstaking, they were too oily making blending miserable. That being said, Gamblin 1980 Oil paints are a pleasure to use. They blend exquisitely for they are a perfect blend of pigment and oil, a buttercream consistency (best I can describe). Furthermore the Mars Black 37 ML is a rich slightly muted deep black. Great for mixing with colors and using just as is when black is needed ie; define, outline, contour rocks and mountains. In comparison to midnight black that which can just be a black to deep and overpowering that it may appear a color that doesn't occur in reality. So if your looking for a black paint this is my first choice and will be in my art cart as my "go-to" black.
