These bulbs did not work and I suspect they are fake.

Expensive for a reason
Sure, there are a million alternatives on amazon nowadays, but nothing beats the phillips hue system for one simple reason, the hub. I mainly use homekit to control my home and connecting hue deivces to the hub and then to homekit is a breeze, there's little to no lag when controlling my devices.

The Hue lights seem to be very good at staying connected and just working every time. I have used Lifx for years and they have been great but the Hue's seem to be more reliable so far. Lifx has better colour reproduction but just not as reliable.
