Bought this for our 7 year old. She loves it! Has a great battery life and is very durable for having a big screen. It is a great product for the money and I would recommend it to someone looking for a tracing pad. I could also use it for diamond painting and that make it easier to see the numbers and letters! It can be turned landscape or portrait as well and the stand on the back helps with getting different angles. It has two modes for light one more of a white light and one more of a yellow. Each one also has brightness you can adjust.

This lightboard is fantastic! Fits a nice big piece of paper, and it's variable, strong lights make the work go by quickly and effortlessly. It stores nicely, being so thin. It is, however, a bit cumbersome to carry around, but I found a bag big enough to carry it in. Good value for what you get. Made my illustration work smooth and easy.

I bought the pad not so much for tracing but as a way to back-illuminate translucent objects for photography. I figured I'd also be able to use it occasionally as a sort of fill light or perhaps even a main light for small products—a poor man's softbox, perhaps? PACKAGING Sturdy, good-fitting outer box. Definitely good for storage. CHARGING INSTRUCTIONS The instructions about the charging indicator LED might be wrong. They say: red for low battery, OFF when charging, and blue for fully charged. When I first charged the pad, the indicator was red; the LED never went off during charging; it turned blue after about 35 minutes. So either the instructions are wrong or the pad I bought isn't doing what the instructions say it should do. CHARGING (other) At least one review noted that the buyer wasn't able to charge the pad using his or her own USB-C cable. I didn't have that problem. I used an Anker storage battery with an Anker charging/data cable and they worked fine. SURFACE It seems a bit soft and easy to scratch. I wouldn't recommend cutting anything on it without using a translucent cutting pad. FUNCTIONALITY Functions are working as advertised. Tap the brightness button multiple times to change illumination in steps. Press and hold it to change illumination steplessly. ILLUMINATION Illumination isn't 100% even across the pad, but it's uniform enough for my purposes. The warmer white setting (I'm guessing ~3,000°K.) appears to permit slightly higher illumination than the cooler setting (5,000°K.?). (The third (distinctly yellowish) setting isn't pleasant to look at and I didn't bother checking its maximum illumination.) FOLD-OUT STAND Useful, but as other reviewers have pointed out it seems a bit flimsy and probably won't hold up to much pressure while you're using it. So don't press too hard. OVERALL IMPRESSION Not going to 5 because I don't know yet how well it will hold up over time. But overall impression is: good.

At first, I thought this device was poorly made. After the 6th use, it refused to charge no matter what outlet I tried. I was ready to request a refund. But by chance, in a dark room, I noticed the faint red light reflecting on my finger. That’s when I realized the charging light is extremely dim so I did not know the plug needed to be wiggled a bit to activate the light. By carefully positioning it so the red light stayed on, it finally charged fully. The product does work. The charging part of the process feels flimsy, and the indicator lights are way too hard to see. Making the port sturdier and the red/blue lights more visible (red = charging, blue = fully charged) would make this device far more reliable and user-friendly.
