edding 95 highlighter - basic

At my work there are only glass panels to write on. The company supplied standard dry wipe markers and these were a nightmare to clean wipe. I bought these glass markers and they’re so much better. The black one is a hit and miss depending on the type of glass, but the rest of them are really good.

If I look after these glass markers (remembering to put on the top when not in use and not applying too much pressure to the nib), I fully expect them to last a long time as they are a quality product by a well known brand (edding). In a fully recyclable cardboard box that can also be used to store them in when not in use, you receive six glass markers in black, white, yellow, orange, blue and pink. The square bullet point nibs are 1.2-3mm. Inside the box, there is a fun diagram on how to learn to scribble step-by-step. I think that I will use most of the markers (apart from the white) with a whiteboard as this is one of their suggested uses; there is a good selection of colours for this purpose, and you can simply dry erase them with a cloth or whiteboard eraser. This is a considered purchase as you can purchase glass or whiteboard markers much more cheaply but I am expecting these markers to last a long time which I would not necessarily expect (or receive) from a cheaper generic set. You get what you pay for in this particular case. I am pleased with this markers and I am happy to recommend.

Nice smooth writing style and a size that feels nice and comfortable in the hand. Great for writing on boards, decoration and labelling.

The packaging needs to be carefully opened and the pens, housed in their own box, can then be slid from the outside sleeve. The six markers are in the main a useful selection of bright colours, (although I would have preferred a red in place of the pink). They are very easy to use, they don’t require shaking, the tip is nice and wide and the cap fits on the end of the pen, readily to hand when it is time to replace it. The ink flows uniformly and produces bright images, which are easy to remove when it is time for removal. Edding is a very good brand of the highest quality; my wife uses the Edding paint markers for permanently decorating stones and glassware, they are excellent. Recommended.

These pens are brilliant, I'm using them on glass and on a white board and they work wonderfully on both. Of course the white pen isn't the best to use on a white board, but I've been using a picture frame as a notice board on my desk, so it works really well against the brown background of the frame backing. The older black pen I've been using on my white board is a bit of a pain to wipe off, if it's on for more than a few hours it takes a lot of elbow grease to get the pen to disappear, but these are so smooth and wipe off extremely easily, even after days and days on the board. There's a nice mix of bright colours, and the nibs are thin enough to write quite small and still be legible.

My friends and I are loving this product. No longer is there confusion about whose drink is who's. Great way to get people to remember each others names at parties! And who's drink is who's. Best invention ever! No more washing glasses all night because people put down their drink and don't want to pick up somebody else's drink. Write names on the base of a wine glass and it will last all night. Always a treat using this product as it ensures no glasses get mixed up!!

Good quality and 6 colours Glass markers pens, Black, White, Orange, Yellow, Blue and Pink. With a few brighter colours, sure to stand out in advertising on windows displays etc. I'm not sure if it is a genuine typo or product code error, but the White pen is marked on the pen as colour 049, but on the back of the pack of the pens, is marked as colour 046 (and shows a grey colour instead) but it is a white one in the pack, and also on the front too.

They write well and wipe off glass etc. very easily, even with a simple dry cloth. The nibs are reasonably fine for writing or you can hold them at an increased angle to use the side of the nib more for a thicker line. My biggest problem is with the pack itself. You get a selection of colours that are not under your control and you may not want or use some of them at all. You can buy a single pen of the colour of your choice for around a sixth of this price, so the only advantage of the pack is the edding quality (which obviously shouldn’t be undervalued). I am going to be hard on these markers and only give them 4 stars, completely due to the price (why should a range of colours cost more?) and the fact it contains a selection of colours you may not want and have no control over. Other than that, they are really good pens and can’t be faulted for that. edding also offer 10 packs all in the colour of your choice for around a third more than this pack, which may be better value for money if you only want one colour.
