Used this to unblock a pretty nasty clog in a Victorian drain, accessed the waste pipe from the floor area inside the kitchen, removing the kitchen waste pipe first to make the run shorter. Fed and wiggled through by hand turning occasionally by hand until firm consistent resistance was met, as it happens this was about 2 meters in. Connected the drill and spun up the drill using the free hand to guide the exposed flexi coil into the pipe until it broke through further. Put the drill in reverse, pulled out the now dirty coil slowly, spraying muck everywhere, reattached the kitchen waste pipes and flushed it with hot water and washing up liquid for a couple of minutes. Free flowing drain again. I can see this working well for toilets and any external drain, seems over kill to go through domestic u-bends etc but sure it would work. Not sure this is stainless so would need to be well dried after use.

I have no doubt that it would work reasonably well with a straight pipe. Unfortunately I wanted it to unblock a soil pipe from an upstairs toilet that turns 90 degrees to join the main stack. Couldn't even get it to navigate through the toilet no matter the pipe.

Don’t waste your time and money.It is not easy to use scratch the toilet enamel and will not unblock the toilet .
