We bought these for our boys (9 & 11) & they have been a great investment. I filled both of theirs up with pencils, erasers, pens, markers, colored pencils, & pretty much anything they'd need to complete any homework assignments. They fold up so you can store them under your car seat if you wanted to. Our kids use them at home & in the car for multiple uses. They do homework on them, eat on them (only at home), & a whole bunch of other things. It's great when you have errands to run & the kids need to come along. This way they can still get work done. We're planning a road trip soon & I'm sure this'll come in handy. We're even taking it on a plane since it folds up so nicely. Definitely recommend it! The quality was great in our experience.

I have bought now a total of six (6) of these units, not all from the same manufacturer. I bought two for wheel chair bound friends, one for my sister whose husband quickly took it, and three for me --- I use them to keep drawing and watercolor supplies in as I watch TV and doodle, or sit outside and draw, and use as a book prop and storage for reading in the home office (one in each location). And I use them to eat off of. Really cool products. This is not just a product for kids. And maybe a black or brown color for adults would be nice. Just an idea --- something to prevent sliding off the laps of wheel chair customers as one of the above did, and while she was trying to retrieve it, she feel out of the wheel chair and onto the tray and broke it (some bruising but took forever for her to get up).My lap dog hates them by the way.

One of the 2 thin long metal rods that hold the lid to the base slipped out within 30 minutes of using this (on an airplane, and I couldn't find it), and I have to keep pushing the other rod back in place. This means the lid isn't very sturdy when opening, and items stored on either side (often pencils or crayons) fall all over since the lid isn't tight all around anymore when shut. The plastic is sturdy and it's a great idea, but they need to fix this design flaw.

Neat little desk, but arrived with a broken hinge - which we fixed - but some of the plastic broke pretty quick.

We just gave this to our 5 year old granddaughter. Takes a sec to snap it open, and she immediately started working on her Kindergarten books, sitting on the floor. It will be great for a little snack too. Will probably order another one to keep at our house. Enough room on the inside to store a few sheets of paper and her markers and pencil for homework. Good quality for the price. Very satisfied.

Bought this for my kids and it is just the right size for them to easily do their written homework and my oldest also uses it for when he is on his Chromebook. It is a great size and is thin when folded. Fits easily under the couch.
