Vivio Garment Steamer with Metal Head

We do alot of steaming of professional dance clothes, also for our own wardrobe. I cant complain, cept its expensive. But it has brass connections, spring on the end to prevent kinking... Steam is constantly strong and powerful... Please use only distilled water.. regular water works but it can create mineral deposits on the coil after many years and make it less effective. It is definitely pro grade. Get the metal head, for 20 bucks extra worth it. It stays very hot while you steam. It doesn't cut in and out. The only bad thing is i wish the handle holder was a little deeper. Its secure on the rack, but if they just made it a little deeper it would hold 100 secure.. right now its 95% .. im just a perfectionist. UPDATE.. the chord was just stiff after shipment. After I ran it the chord took better form and it slides perfectly in the holder now, instead of leaning to the left while hanging. I also saw some famous costume designer on you tube, the one who makes indiana jones hats and various movie props using it. I can see why its 240 bucks. Sure you can get a ok one for 100... Alot of sites recommend good ones... But after doing real research this one is going to be my daily steamer for the next 5 years.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I wanted a top of the line steamer that I wouldn’t have to return and is simple to use. This steamer has changed my life. I HATE ironing, but LOVE steaming! Absolutely no regrets. Works great, easy to use and fast. I find it calming to listen to podcasts while I steam. It’s so much easier. I should have looked into this a long time ago. I now wear pressed clothes regularly. I also bought gloves for steaming, so I don’t accidentally burn myself. So easy.

This steamer worked great the first times we used it and then it began to sputter scalding water. One dress got ruined! It is hard to get consistent results from it.

I’ve been using my old steamer for over twenty years, till it conked out. It was a gift and I didn’t know there were better products out there, until I researched and bought this model. The difference is night and day. Every part is well-designed, made of durable, professional quality materials and it is solid. It produces a lot of steam in about a minute. I especially appreciate the hose—my old one was cheap plastic that bent if I didn’t keep it constantly extended and the head was also plastic. This head is metal and the hose is cloth-covered with a wood sleeve to protect your hand from the hot hose. I think the extra heat from the metal head makes a difference in getting out wrinkles. This thing is built like a tank—true professional quality. It has a detailed parts list in the manual. The heating element is brass and looks like everything can be replaced if needed. The 3-year warranty is impressive these days. I hope to enjoy this steamer for a very long time.

I like that it heats up quickly and that it steams quickly. It has a hanger right on it so it is very easy to steam shirts, dresses and pants.

Very disappointed, the switch after a while would not work properly and had to tape it down to keep it on. After using for about 6 months stop working all together. It has a 2 year warranty they say but when I have called the Reliable Company no one return mys calls for information on how to send it back. Cheap plastic housing would not recommend if you plan to use all the time Better to buy a different brand send a little more and get something better.

This may be a little bulky but it is sturdy, it is professional grade, it is a little more expensive than other steamers but you get what you pay for. This is worth the investment, it has a very sturdy place to hang garments on a aluminum alloy hanger. It h as a big water reservoir so you don't have to keep stopping to refill. Mrs is happy with it, which means I'm happy with it, a definite win.

Great product to assemble quickly and easily. Heats up and fully functioning in under 3 minutes. Downside: The wooden handle on the full metal head gets extremely hot (especially the screw that attaches the handle to the metal steam head) as well as the cord and spiral rings as the base of the cord and base unit. Burned my staff many times. Working on a solution to this issue (heat resistant glove; cord covering).

I’m sure the machine would have been great, but it’s missing a valve to empty water out of the interior tank. Returned it pretty quick because of that. Otherwise, I would have love the metal head that is unique to this brand.
