Mighty MuleFM231-R Wireless Driveway Alarm Additional Base Station

I love our Mighty Mule driveway sensor. We have a long driveway and before I installed this we never knew if someone was arriving until they rang our doorbell or just dropped off a package. Now we have advance notice of a vehicle arriving.Installation was very easy and I had to adjust the sensitivity to the lowest setting because of false signals when trucks came by on the road 75 feet parallel to the driveway. Now it works perfectly and it's been over a year and haven't had to change the batteries yet. Great item!

I have a long curved driveway that I cannot see when a vehicle pulls in. This alerts me. It only detects large things like a deer or a human can set it off but not all the small critters so that is essential! I also ordered a second transmitter for my bedroom upstairs.

The manufacturer is not thinking out of the box. The receiver alarm is not loud enough, for a average size home. If you have the need for two alarms, there is also not a provision to change the alarm sound. Adding versatility to the alarm units will give the customer better options. The manufacturer should also consider offering a repeater module to extend the alarm signal to remote receivers.

Unit stopped working. Waited for 10 or 15 minutes to speak to someone. They will replace it, I have to email in proof of purchase. No problem, I bought through Amazon, should be easy. Then was told I would have to call back. My question why can't I get the email address and email it. We went around and around for over 5 minutes and he told me he could not wait for me to find it. I took me a grand total of a minute to locate proof, would have taken longer to write down or type his email address. He could have asked how long and it would have been done. This is the second time we bought their product but I guarantee there will never be another.

Installed easily and works flawlessly, with a very workable range of broadcast. The fact that critters won't trigger these alarms is huge, as I live in the "sticks" on 23 acres that are replete with deer, rabbits, coons, etc. Now I get a clear audio indication that a vehicle is coming up my long driveway long before I can even see it. This alarm is a great value and I would highly recommend it.

Overall, this is a great system. I have one alarm in my bedroom window which is sideways to the alarm location (not facing) about 100 feet away. The second alarm is in an egress window in the basement, also sideways to the antenna about 50 feet from the sending unit. Both work great. We have a 100-foot driveway off a busy road, and had not always been aware when someone drove in. I installed the alarm above ground (not buried) about 40 feet from the road, so maybe that has something to do with the occasional false alarm. Only responds to large (car-sized) metal objects, so it doesn’t give warning for bicycles, humans, deer, dogs, etc.

I have a Mighty Mule driveway alarm, and the inside unit had some broken wires on the plug in. After searching way too long without being able to find a new plug in, I went ahead and bought this to replace it. Kind of hated having to spend the extra money, but it works perfectly.

I have a home-based business and a half circle driveway so I have one of these bases with a sensor at each end of the driveway. It always lets me know when someone is coming or going. It works perfectly and doesn't give me false alarms ever! It has volume control so you can decide how loud you want it and it lasts a long time. I had one for 8 years before it had to be replaced!

I added this base unit to my driveway monitor for the shop. the original unit works perfect and I wish i ordered it a long time ago. I am unable to get this unit to work. I have tried all different dip switch settings and moved it to other locations. So far it still is not working. I might have to send it back.

Wish I knew about this a long time ago. Protection and security in an easy package!Quick to install, easy to calibrate. And we have to turn the sensitivity down, it's so strong! Marvelous!

Works great with original system of the mighty mule. It has warned us of two midnight thieves so far...would recommend this product.

this alarm works awesome!!!!!! we have 1 base in the house and 1 in the garage so whenever someone drives in our yard we can hear them. The sound can be heard throughout the house. It was super easy to install and you cannot see any indication that it is there as you drive in. Wonderful

Love the extra receiver in the house. Gives me a sense of security at night.
