iPhone 13 Magnetic Case - Gripmunk Compatible with MagSafe [Lightweight + Protective] Slim/Thin Grip Cover with Microfiber Lining for Apple iPhone 13 - Black Tie Affair

This is my 3rd Smartish case. I purchased a clear one for my prior phone (SE 2020), a purple one for my wife's 13 mini, and now a clear MagSafe one for my 13 mini. We are happy with all three of them. It fits the mini well, the buttons work easily, and it seems adequately rugged. Neither I nor my wife have yet dropped our 13 minis, but in the 1-1/2 yrs that I had the SE2020 it experienced a few drops and survived them all. The purple one (my wife's) is a nice bright color. Unfortunately, none of the other colors were as appealing to my eye and so to get one I could easily distinguish from hers, I chose the clear. It turned out well. When the phone lays on its face, I see its red color clearly through the case and the interesting white circle+line of the MagSafe feature. When laying on its back, I see the completely black screen surrounded by a thin pearlescent border that helps it stand out when sitting on a surface so I can find it easily, yet isn't so flashy as to stand out on a restaurant table where it might be snatched. I used to use other brands that make more rugged two-part cases, but they were larger, harder to install, and the buttons did not work as well. I think the Smartish is a good balance between a tank and something more usable. I like the pebble-grain perimeter that makes it easy to pick up and grip (much easier than a naked iPhone). Although the clear back is slick, the border stands out above its perimeter so when laying on a surface it will not easily slide if bumped or if the surface is tilted. As for the clarity of the clear case, time will tell. However, I just took a look at my 1-1/2 yr old SE 2020 case and it has mildly yellowed with age, so I suspect if you want clear clear, you might be replacing your case in a couple of years. Fortunately, due to Smartish's lifetime warranty they will replace a case due to yellowing as they confirmed to me in an email. However for most users, if you keep your iPhone about 4 years (industry estimated average use life), the case should likely be fine as long as you don’t mind a bit of discoloration. And finally, I am pleased to note that they are quite responsive to questions and comments via email, responding back within a day or so. I like a manufacturer that is easy to contact.

I don’t know much about smartish or how long they been around. First time ever seeing a phone case by them. I just got a new IPhone 13 mini and I’m a avid user of OtterBox as they are solid reliable cases. Sadly I feel they have gotten to expensive and I needed a case and I see all these “flashy” “designer” cases with too much going on. I just need a case, a solid color, gripable, not expensive, but not too cheap either as I’ve seen brands with case for $5-10 that are just piss poor quality. So I went out on a limb as I found a solid blue case that claims to be gripable, which it is and for a $20 price tag! The installation was very easy and the feel of the case feels like good quality, doesn’t feel like cheap plastic and that it’s gonna break instantly, not to bulky but not too thin either, it fits snuggly around my phone and honestly I’m quite satisfied with this purchase. The design is simple, usability is great! The gripping is great! Obviously this being a first time purchase, I’m not sure how the case will do over time but I feel like it’ll last. So at this moment I will give 5 stars for the overall feel of the case, the pricing and the ease of installation. If you are looking for a case and either do OtterBox or another brand and they are a little pricey, I recommend trying smartish. I got the gripmunk, but they also have cases where you can put your bank card and ID into as well.

Great case that is still very slim but very grippy on the sides, still has more than adequate protection for corners/camera of the iphone 13. Sides have great textured feel, more aggressive than other slim cases I've used. Still has magsafe which is really convenient now. Giving new life to a recycled iphone to the kids. Very satisfied with the case, will keep this line/brand on the radar as an alternative to my Caudabe cases, was a prime day value :)

Just received this today, June 2022 so I can't comment on its durability or whether it will yellow. On the good side, it does feel very well made, sturdy and fits my iphone 13 to perfection. The cutouts are very precise. for all buttons and openings. The buttons ae super easy to press; actually it feels substantially easier to press the buttons than it does on the uncovered iphone. Maybe its the no slip sides. All four sides are a frosted grippy design. Very easy to hold yet still slides in and out of pocket nicely. Crystal clear on the back. The cover is raised slightly on the front so you can put the phone face down without the glass touching the table. On the con side for me, I bought the magsafe version, not for charging, but because my car phone holder is magnetic and I thought this cover would work with the magnetic phone holder. IT DOES NOT. Just slide right off the magnet. Also, I do not like the look of the big white circle on the back of the magsafe version and may return it for this reason. But no points lost for this as I knew what I was getting. Just be forewarned, that with the frosted sides and big circle on the back, you are not showing off much of your new phone's lovely color. If that is important to you, you might want to think twice. The cover does NOT come with a screen protector and that's a bummer. There is an offer in the package to get a free one at a listed website. When you go to the site, you learn that the promotion ended in 2020. As I said, it is now 2022. Give me a break.

Checks all the boxes: attractive (but nothing fancy), slim, slides easily into and out of pockets, allows buttons to click normally

It's a great fit without being hard to install; lightweight, works well with MagSafe (unlike one brand-name competitor who falsely claims MagSafe); perfect grip, without being bulky. Would be even better if Smartish offered these in more colors, but I suppose either Black, or Gawdy, is what sells - nothing in between. Oh well, still the best case brand if you don't want to easily drop and damage your phone, but dislike bulk and heft. Durable - I've had one for another phone for quite awhile and still love it. They make great matching screen protectors as well. All reasonably priced in today's market.

Rarely do I buy the perfect cell phone case the first time. My previous phones, I’ve always had to waste money on buying a few before getting an actual good one. With a name like Smartish which I have never heard of, I clearly had my doubts but this thing is good. Combine that with YT promotions so often disguised as reviews and it’s tough to trust. So I’m actually surprised it’s exactly as described. Good tight fit. Nice texture, doesn’t leave finger prints. Does have a finger forming subtle curves on the outer edge for left and tight hand users. Buttons function as they should. Nicely integrated camera protection too. This product literally gave me faith in Smartish as a whole. They also responded quickly to my inquiries about their other cell phone cases. Not advertised nor claimed it would hold onto a non MagSafe magnet car mount but I thought it might. It doesn’t. No fault of Smartish. The MagSafe ring is just too large for the magnet in my and most mounts. Due to the inefficiency and high heat levels of slow wireless charging technology, i opted out of that iphone feature and just put a metal backing plate inside the case to work with my current car mount so it holds very securely. The car is where I need fast charging anyway and wireless MagSafe won’t give me that so totally fine with my wired connection as I care more about battery longevity, charge rate than being too lazy to simply plug the phone in with a wire.

The case is so beautifully designed, with vivid colors and one of my favorite graphics to date. It has great grip and is really durable. It fits my iPhone 13 mini snugly and has protected it well through more than one accidental drop but if I need to take it off to sanitize or service the phone, it’s not a struggle. The BEST thing about this case is that I can flawlessly use the MagSafe charging. Even when not charging I can attach a ring holder, wallet, car mount, etc. and keep my phone protected. Not exaggerating. I REALLY LOVE this case and I’ve probably had upwards of 40 cases over the years.
