Dyson brand and works perfect. 👍
This is the real deal. I didn’t realize that my old filter wore out and needed to be cleaned more and more often. When I put on this real Dyson brand filter it was like I just got my vacuum rebuilt. Highly recommend! ❤️

Works as expected. OEM is sometimes worth the premium.
I've cleaned mine in the sink many times but after a couple of years and one misguided attempt to vacuum up some spilled ash from the fireplace, it was time. No, I didn't vacuum hot ask with it but the ash is so fine it clogged the filter. I shook it out and then rinsed it as normal, but I think some of the ash turned to cement in it as it would quickly clog and give you the on/off/on/off/on/off warning. I found lots of cheap filters online but decided to go with an OEM one as the review mostly like the cheap ones, but there is always that one person who really tested it and found it to be letting a lot more dust through. Maybe, maybe not but if you're using a $300+ vacuum, just spend the extra and get a good filter. You'll protect your motor and your lungs!

Really Dyson
In the past I've ordered products that say they're suitable for a particular brand, but are nothing close to the quality of that brand. This filter is a real Dyson filter, fits perfectly, and works as an identical spare. We use our vacuum a lot, so when the filter needs to be washed out, the machine is down until the next day. This way I can swap out the filters, clean the dirty one, and it will be ready to use the next time. I wanted the real deal and that's what I got.

Genuine filter, but…
I have bought aftermarket filters before, so I wanted to get a new, genuine Dyson filter. I placed the order, but somehow the order was accidentally cancelled by seller. I contacted seller via Amazon and the confusion was resolved. Seller requested that I place another order and he would make sure that the filter was shipped. I delayed on reordering due to life getting in the way. And then, a box showed up with the filter! The seller had sent it at no cost due to the confusion and asked that I edit my initial review about cancellation. I tried the filter on. It did not fit well. It was very tight and I had to forcefully put it on. I emailed the seller to confirm that it was a genuine Dyson filter as there weren’t any issues with the old one and no stickers like the old one (and I noticed a few other reviews questioning the genuine filter). The seller confirmed that it was indeed a Dyson filter and that it would be a tight fit in order to create a better seal. So, my biggest suggestion would be to sellers: Include a small piece of paper or a sticker on the box stating: “In order to create a better seal, please be advised that the fit of the new filter will be much tighter than the old filter.” This small bit of information would provide the buyer with the necessary information about the way the new filter will fit and would probably help to alleviate or even eliminate any returns for “wrong product” or “bad fit”. The seller was quick to respond to my questions and went above and beyond to help get the product to me. I hope that I did not offend him by my questions. Attached are pictures of the box, my original Dyson filter, the new Dyson filter and my old aftermarket filter. Note the lack of customer service phone number sticker or large diagram sticker. But there is a QR sticker and a washing diagram on the original AND the new OEM filters. Communication would benefit both parties.

Fit was Perfect
My Dyson was operating in a not so great arena. I had changed the Trigger after I diagnosed it was broken. After putting it together, I had ordered a generic filter to use. The vaccume worked Ok but I thought that I had done something wrong because the suction was not there. After a while, I bought amother vaccum thinking mine was toast. I decided to purchase a OEM Dyson filter thinking maybe the generic filter might be defective. I read some of the feedback and some were complaining it was too tight. Well it turns out that was the problem with the generic brand. It was too loose and did not create a good suction. My Dyson is back in service with a very good suction that was noticed by the family. And it runs quieter too. I highly recommend when looking for a filter that buying a generic might work ok, but in my case it did not, I would recommend An OEM Dyson filter. I won;t by anything other than a Dyson made filter.
