DNA MOTORING TL-E53X500-CL-RD Tail Light Assembly Driver & Passenger Side [Compatible with 00-06 BMW X5]

The tail lights themselves fit right in. easy. the lights in the tail gate were off just enough to make it work to install. Oversized one hole in the tailgate and the receiver was not threaded so had to swap out the OEM screw for a Self tapping. The end result was good. 2002 BMW X5 which still looks very good so finish was important.

Everything about this is great, quality, ease of hooking up electrical wiring, and an almost fit but 2 screws don't line up and had to be redrilled to install. Could be the car but otherwise its great.

The “stealer-ship” wanted some ridiculous amount of money to replace BMW’s 101% FLAWED DESIGN taillights. If you have looked at the design they pretty much over complicated what “could” be a simple socket for a regular tail light / brake light combination. BMW has a “circuit board” on them that corrodes very easily and fail. I was skeptical about these lights but I’m not anymore! Best bang for your buck and NO silly circuit board that will just fail like OEM BMW ones will. Installed both sides in 40-45 minutes being VERY CAREFUL not to drop one of the 3 nuts on the primary brake/tail-light assembly. I’m thrilled with them and saved more money than switching car insurance would!

I purchased this light kit for my BMW X5 3.0i 2004. factory fit no modifications needed and installed without issue.I recommend buying this kit, it worked like a charm and please do not believe the negative reviews.Thank you!

Left trunk light fitting is a few mm off, but not noticeable.

Buyer beware, one light lens came cracked and tried to rectify this situation with DNA Motoring and got absolutely no help. In fact, they told me to contact Amazon for resolution which is extremely frustrating. I do not recommend buying from this company.

Nice looking lights. Only had some fit issues with the reverse lights in the tailgate. Tips: I noticed that on the inside, the plastic bulb housing of the reverse light is hitting the sheet metal of the tailgate on the inside which throws off one of the mounting holes. I had had to take off some plastic of the housing with a razor and file. With that the clearance problem was resolved and all mounting holes align. Ideally if it would fit right away but for that price it isn't a big deal.
