Good for reduced calorie diet
I’m on 1200 calories a day which is quite difficult so meal replacement really helps to keep up with my goals. I don’t have sweet tooth so I must mixed it with whole lemon as it’s as just too sweet for me. I replace one meal a day either breakfast or lunch, it keeps me full for about 3 - 4 hours. I’ve lost about 800g in one week but I also use Fitnesspal app. I use hand blender, mix it with soya milk and ice cubes (and lemon), drink looks quite nice and appetising. I will purchase again because it suits my current diet.

Nice flavour and texture.
These drinks seem pretty good- The blueberry flavour does need a bit more blueberry in it. However the texture once blended is pretty thick and nice to drink especially with some fruit added. There's no chemical aftertaste to it,Whilst not the same as a smoothie in a hipster café, it's a nice drink. It does need a hand blender for best results.. It's too early to say if the mixture has resulted in any weight loss.

People say it tastes horrible, I'm VERY fussy and I don't agree.
Have always been a bit down on these products but I need to lose a lot of weight for some surgery to take place, lost 3 stone last year and surgeon said I need to lose another 3 and suggested Slimfast as an option. Went big with my first purchase not to waste money on a small one, tried it today for the first time today and have to say I disagree with everything I've always thought about it, easy to make, no lumps and the Strawberry is very tasty. As for weight loss, well only time will tell but if this is replacing my usual meals then things should be OK.

Weight loss with a sweet tooth
Flavours:Did you like foam banana sweets when you were younger? Then the "banana" flavoured Slimfast is for you.Like chocolate? Don't buy the "chocolate"-flavoured one. It tastes like a cheap child's cereal that has been left half opened in the back of the cupboard crossed with the chemical-treated cardboard box it came in.Like strawberry/raspberry-flavoured ice cream? Then the "strawberry" flavour is for you. There is a slight powdery taste but it doesn't make it unpleasant.Like powdered or tinned custard? Then the "vanilla" flavour is for you. It isn't very strong or very sweet, so if you just want a shake that has some flavour, pick vanilla.Do you like caramel-flavoured ice cream or sweets? The "caramel"-flavoured shake tastes like melted caramel ice cream. It's not overly sweet or overpowering, but very moreish. This is my favourite.I have a sweet tooth and struggle on any diet that leaves me feeling hungry. These shakes, however, fill me up and also help satisfy my craving for something sweet. They are easy to make and much cheaper in powder form than the ready-made ones. Buy a box of long life/UHT skimmed milk because you'll need a lot of it: if you drink two shakes a day, it's 0.5 litres or almost a pint of milk.I use an electric hand blender to mix it up without lumps and the aeration makes it thicker. I tried shaking but it was still lumpy and you lose part of it that sticks to the side/lid of the shaker.Step 1: measure out 250ml of milkStep 2: measure out two scoops of powderStep 3: add the powder to your milkStep 4: mix with a spoon or blunt knifeStep 5: blend with an electric hand blenderStep 6: drink!Would I recommend it? Yes. I'm losing weight and not suffering in the process.

Great
Brill - easy to drink. Tastes just like a banana milkshake - not got a horrible taste to it like the ready made bottles do

Fruity cardboard
Tastes nice at first but leaves a fruity cardboard after taste for ages

This works
I have been doing this diet for 5 weeks and have lost 9lb. I have just ordered another 3 packs as I want to keep going and lose more. The very first time I tried the shake I had to force myself to drink it as it didn’t taste like a normal milkshake but after I’d had a few I got used to the taste and now enjoy them. I have done WW and SW in the past and found them expensive and time consuming. Buying loads of fresh fruit and veg, washing the beggars and having to find the time each week to be weighed then sit in a room full of insecure women for an hour. Plus paying the subscription fee. I get the idea of a group ethos but I never really felt it.This way suits me far better. At the current price, it works out at 50p per meal and takes seconds to make the shake. I bought two ‘Warrior’ shaker bottles from Amazon and they do the job perfectly. I make two shakes up in the morning then drink one for my breakfast and take the other to work. The bottle has never leaked and is easy to wash. It’s much easier than faffing about making a salad. Before I started the diet I sat down and worked out how I could make the most out of my 600 calorie evening meal. I mainly have jacket potato with tuna and salad or beans and ham. I use one of the 100 calorie snack allowance to cover the milk I have in my tea through the day then save the other two for evenings. Then I have frozen fruit and fat free yoghurt as a dessert.Don’t get me wrong, the actual day to day aspect isn’t easy. I’m kinda hungry every day lol. But drinking plenty of water helps and it fits in with my busy lifestyle and lack of spare money. You do need willpower to stick to it. But if you want a cheap, convenient way to lose weight and can put up with feeling peckish all the time, it’s brilliant. The first week is hard but then it becomes routine and gets easier.Rather than using skimmed milk, I use less semi skimmed and top up with water. I worked out how much I would need to water the milk down then marked the levels on the shaker bottle with a fine tip marker pen. Sorry, I can’t remember the amounts. When the pen lines start to wash off I rewrite them before they disappear altogether. You don’t get as many nutrients from semi skimmed and water than you do with skimmed milk apparently, but as I have the fat free yoghurt I figure it sort of evens itself out.
