Terrific bottle!
This is a great bottle for many reasons. It's collapsible, which is so convenient for a light traveler like myself. The two different caps offer a choice of a "sports cap" type, and a touch-to-open style; both lock securely to guard against leaks. The bottle fits the hand nicely, and it's easy to clean, as well as wide enough when opened, to add ice cubes. The small company offers great customer support if there's any questions or problems. My new go-to portable, attractive water bottle! Thank you, Freeday Gear!

Not great.
Took on a trip to Ireland/England. Even if the water had only been in the bottle for 5 minutes it tasted like silicone. It was very unpleasant.

Makes water taste bad
Makes water taste terrible after sitting in the bottle for anything more than 30 minutes. I've washed the bottle, soaked the bottle in baking soda and water for 2 days, but to no avail. Had to throw away and buy a normal glass bottle.

Wonderful waterbottle when you need something light. Just needs to be bigger.
Update: 3 months of on again off again use and I’m sad to say we have mold. :( I loved everything about this water bottle. I have a variety of other kind (glass and metal) and I know they need to be cleaned and dried so I am quite vigilant about it. So when I was finishing by water at the gym the other day and saw dark spots on the bottom I was concerned. I came home and scrubbed with my bottle brush and even used some hot water. Still no luck. It’s mold on the very bottom and around the indentation about mid-way. So sad because this was our go to bottle for hikes too. Not sure what I could have done differently. :(August 2018Bought this for a family trip to NYC. I hate all the plastic bottles we normally use and refill but didn't want to bring our glass or metal water bottles. A friend recommended I check out the collapsible bottles so I bought two, Freeday Gear and another brand. This was my favorite by far.Pros:Doesn't collapse as the water level lessens, its sturdy!!Light enough that it doesn't weigh you down (I attached it to the outside of my across the chest bag)The strap is sturdy and I was never fearful of it snapping off during our travelsCons:Too small- If they made a larger version, I'd be all over it. 27oz would be fabulous. This was hardly enough for me, and this trip had me sharing with my two littles.I am going to use this for work to give it a little more time to see how it hold up and will try to update. I have high hopes for it!

Two Handy Caps are a Bonus
Meets the claims of the ad. Very sturdy. Having two caps is a bonus, and both do not leak. I use it primarily for cool liquids. When filled with very hot coffee, it was also uncomfortably hot to hold for awhile. After about an hour the coffee was tepid. However, there was no damage to the bottle nor any residual coffee taste when rinsed and filled with water. If the vendors ever offer it with a washable cover, it would keep liquids hot for a longer time and be more comfortable to hold when hot. Dust and other particles are easily rinsed from the exterior. The strap serves two functions: to secure the rolled-up bottle or for use with a carabiner. Customer service and follow-up were excellent.

great size, no funny taste
17 ounces is a perfect size for me and my purse! For hot and cold beverages! I like that I can compress the bottle while water is still in it and tuck it into pockets. Doesn't leave a funny taste. Does not leak (unless you dont screw it in all the way). 2 lid option. Pours nicely into mouth, not too fast like a regular water bottle! My 3 yo son loves it! He has never liked any sippy cup but for some reason he claims that this bottle is his!

The bottle rolls up easily for storage
I got this bottle to use on the boat while racing in Regattas and for travel. The bottle rolls up easily for storage, but the sidewalls are stiff enough to keep the bottle upright even when partially full.Having 2 tops is handy. I will probably use the quick pop open one with the clear cap on the boat, and the more secure screw top lid while traveling.I'm hoping that the soft silicone won't make a lot of noise rolling around in the boat and should also be fine prefreezing water for those hot days.I really like the wider mouth and lack of an internal straw; cleaning should be easy. The grippyness of the silicone feels good in the hand, but I suspect that it will pick up dust as well, which should wash off.Overall, the bottle looks to be well made and I did not notice any residual chemical odor (although my nose is not all that sensitive). The 17oz size is about right. For really hot days, I might take along a second one or some extra beer.If I remember, I will try to update the review at the end of a summer of hard use.

Great for travel
I don't think you could make a better design for my needs, aside from adding a clip or carabiber to clip to my bag. Other than that it's perfect.Just got back from my first long trip with many flights using this. Easily fit in my purse, but was perfectly stable once opened up. Wide enough mouth to add ice. And the best part is I can easily scrub the inside with my normal scrub brush for thorough and easy cleaning. Also dishwasher safe.I found the screw top lid to be leak-proof and haven't tried the other lid yet.Unlike reviews for other products, there way zero smell when I first opened and used it.
