I had several disappointments with this product. First-it requires a power screwdriver or drill to assemble because the nuts are rubberized and do not screw on easily. The assembly instructions were not very clear. Other flaws include that he base is never permanently attached to the excavator and the paint in the scooper chipped with the first use in sand.But most of all the height of the seat is out of proportion to the mechanism. The seat needs to be higher. It is much lower than illustrated. Although the toy is attractive to a wide range of ages, it is difficult for a child over 3 years old to use due to the low seat. In order to lift the shovel, the child often needs to stand up or the handles hit him in the abdomen. I think this is evident from the illustration. I will look at the other models available.

Easy to assemble and very durable! My twin boys love these!! They are able to use the handles well and maneuver it with ease.
