Enjoyable Math Jokes
This is a short book of short jokes, covering a broad range of mathematical levels. For example, it starts with "Why is 6 afraid of 7? Because 7 8 9" and includes "What is big, gray, and has integer coefficients? An elephantine equation". It includes many old classics, but it also has many jokes I hadn't hear of. I found it very pleasant to read, and I look forward to using some of these jokes in my classes! The jokes in this book are jokes in the usual sense. For mathematically related anecdotes, Howard Eves' "In mathematical circles" series, and Steven Krantz's "Mathematical Apocrypha" and "Mathematical Apocrypha Redux" are all good. For humorous mathematical essays, there is Colin Adams' "Riot at the Calc Exam".

Math book
I bought this for my daughter who is a middle school math teacher. She has enjoyed using it with her students. She said the students also had fun and it is a great tool for using with students who struggle with math. I recommend the purchase of this book.

Great Gift to Mathy Folks
I gave this to a former math professor. He opened it and immediately laughed at the first couple of jokes he read. He read one of the jokes to me and clearly you have to be a math enthusiast to understand the jokes in the first place. Great for someone who eats and breathes math.

A gift for my Granddaughter I had it sent directly to her
I cannot really do a review of this book as I purchased it for my Granddaughter in OK. She is in her senior year at the university majoring in a Math major. She will go on into more years of schooling so as to complete her math major into acquiring her Ph. D. degree. I hope this gives her some humor to use if and when she teaches math. It was a joy to find and send to her. Now I need to find a Chemistry joke book for my Grandson... :-} as he is majoring to be a Chemical Engineer.

Some of this was laugh-out-loud funny
My brother loved this. And the section on "3 Dudes" made me laugh out loud (partly because I was engineering before I was math so the comparisons made sense). Some of the jokes were incomprehensible...possibly because they were outside my field. But I think most Math/Science folks will find enough pertinent content, regardless of their area of expertise, to tickle their funny bones.

Nice collection of really bad puns and jokes
This book is a fast read and, if you are the kind of person who is tempted to buy it, you've probably heard some of the jokes before. But, I found some new ones and a few that were really funny. I would have been happier at half the price, but I definitely enjoyed the book, and would like to believe that my family also enjoyed all the jokes I forced them to hear.

It may sound sad to get your mum a mothers day gift but my mum is a maths teacher and is always telling mathematical jokes to her students, family and basically anyone who will stand and listen! This gift was perfect and has got alot of smiles out of everyone there is a range of jokes which is handy as she teaches GCSE all the way up to A-level, so even if you're not a mathematical genius you can still get a barrel of laughs out of this simple, cheap and hilarious gift!

Soy ingeniero y uso las matemáticas... Este libro es de chistes para matemáticos puros y duros. Para los que usamos las matemáticas como herramienta es demasiado.

I brought this book based on recommendation from an online math joke group. It was entertaining to browse through and read the jokes which were nicely categorized.

All maths a level students need this book. It is excellent, especially if you have another maths person in the family to share the jokes with.
