Why does remote only work if you turn light on at base first and can only use for a few minutes before it stops responding?

That seems to be the way it is designed. You must turn on at the base first and then you can control the modes from the remote or power it on and off. I am not sure if there is a time out as I almost never use the remote.

Does this light have memory to keep last pattern used when switch off?

Dear, the beacon light does not have a memory mode.

The description says it is 'suitable for vehicles with 12 or 24 volt power outlets'. But I see no info for connecting to a 24 volt supply. Explain pls

I hooked this beacon up to my golf cart that has six 6 volt batteries. I took the two power wires from the beacon and touched them across two 6 volt batteries (12volts) and the beacon worked. I took the same 2 wires and used four batteries (24 volts) and it worked but the beacon didn't work when I used all 6 batteries (36 volts)
