Klipsch Reference Cinema Dolby Atmos 5.1.4 System

Wow... I just unpacked my Klipsch Reference Cinema System 5.1.4 speakers and what a system. These things ooze sexiness and quality. It's sorta like comparing a Toyota Camry to a Lexus LS. They will both get you there but in totally different ways. I have got to be the king of overkill. I have paired this system to my Onkyo TX-SR508 in my 180 sp ft office. Needless to say this system rocks. I bought some Elite 16/4 cable so setup was a breeze. The sound is clean and clear and the base is strong and lifelike. It might not be as powerful as my other Onkyo, Klipsch surround system but these speakers are an absolute bargain for $500. You can't go wrong...

The one thing you should know is that this product is not come with any wiring and you will have to go buy your own. For me 14 gauge speaker wire did fit but it is a bit of a tight fit so I might recommend 16 gauge, unless you're planning on using like 1 inch 14 gauge ferrules. I upgraded from a 7.1 Onkyo surround sound speaker set and these ones are awesome. The satellites have way more bass than I expected and their Dolby effect does work. I'm using it with an Onkyo nr7100 and when I'm listening to music it sounds like I'm sitting in front of a stage. When I'm watching a movie and an airplane is flying overhead it sounds like the airplane is flying overhead. The crossover isn't super good compared to other Klipsch speakers but for the price these speakers are absolutely amazing. I basically have to set the center to 90hz and then the satellites to 100hz and the upward firing ones to 120hz The woofer on the other hand isn't anything to write home about. It's good enough it sounds decent but it doesn't have the punch of other woofers that I've had in the past. I got them for 500 bucks and I think that they're well worth that if you get them cheaper you should absolutely consider it. Just remember that the speakers need a 9.1 system to actually use all of the channels. That said if you have a 7.1 system I would still recommend these speakers. Just use the front two speakers as your Dolby Height 1.

The reciever and speaker combo is great. Took time to dial everything in with a dedicated calibration mic and dirac live on a PC. Added a 12 inch sub to the mix with the 10 inch already included in the system and got some serious earth moving bass. The reciever is a bit overkill for the speakers but nice for adding components down the road. The center channel is a bit weak for my liking having to dial it up +3 db to get clean and clear dialog at lower volume in atmos formats (still beats the pants off any sound bar tho.) The center will certainly be changed out soon. But for the price of it all I am very pleased with the reciever and speaker package. Ready Player One action scenes really blew me away with the reciever not even breaking a sweat. Jurassic Park T Rex roar is both bone chilling and earth shaking at the same time. Very happy with the combo. Adding another sub really helps with immersion. Worth upgrading to a bit better center channel down the road. Inclusion of dirac live with the reciever was a big selling point for me and very much worth it. You won't be disappointed.

Dolby atmos version review FANTASTIC VALUE! These speakers are larger than the 5.1 surround package, a note-able upgrade being the subwoofer 8 vs 10 inches. The uprising speakers are not very effective but way more effective than sound bar up-firing speakers, I wouldn’t get a 9 channel amplifier for these. For $850 you can get these with a Sony dh790. This package comes with speaker wire. Only thing you will need is places to put the speakers. These speakers are phenomenally easy to drive and get loud! Very immersive, sound stage is lacking but at this price point they are phenomenal! I tried several high end sound bars before landing on this, and I am not disappointed in the slightest. It made me want to get surround setups in ever single room where I watch movies or play games. 10/10 recommend. Cheap if paired with Sony dh 590 or dh 790. Get a better reciever if you intend on using this as an entry level speaker system. Careful not to overdrive the upward firing speakers to make them effective - they only handle 40w peak, several users on Klipsch website report they have blown theirs.

Wow, amazing. Excellent communication with the seller and fast delivery. I thought they would be smaller in size, but they are actually big enough. Happy to be in the Klipsch family.

I'm pleasantly surprised by the sound power and quality using them with VR Yamaha XR-V6A for my 35m2 home theater.
