My Mom is a Lawyer (My Mom/Dad/Aunt/Uncle is a Lawyer)

We got this for our 4 and 5 year old. Age-appropriate for them. It's a bit basic for our 8-year-old. Overall, the kids enjoyed the book, and Mom, the lawyer, liked showing off as well.

Very nice children’s book that clearly explains and beautifully illustrates all different types of lawyer moms. My wife is an attorney and she and our daughter love reading this book together. Also love the message that kids can look up to and take pride in their working professional parents.

One of the cutest and most accurate children’s book describing the law profession and the different types of lawyers. I love how the author uses “kid-friendly” examples and scenarios to illustrate what different lawyers do. If you’re a lawyer-mom with young kids, this children’s book is a must!!!

I bought this for my sister-in-law who is a lawyer and expecting her first baby. She loved getting this book at her shower. The story is very sweet.

This helped my 3yo understand what I do while I’m at work which also helped a bit with separation anxiety. Such a wonderful way to explain the profession, especially since it accounts for all the different ways to be an attorney.

This is a cute book, however it seemed very out of order when I read it to my child. It wasn’t until I went through it again I realize the book had been printed/bound backwards. It makes sense if it is read from the back to the front. I don’t know if this is an error by the printer or the author. I’d love to be able to send this book as a gift to others, but I won’t be doing so given the awkward printings. Otherwise, it’s a cute book with a nice message.

My granddaughter, age 9, wants to be a lawyer. She loves this book. I wish it was a bit more advanced, using the same concept of discussing the types of lawyers. But, it was a winner.

I am considering buying this book for my nephew (10, M) whose father (my brother) is a patent attorney. The preview seems like it would be the perfect thing to teach him about his father's line of work and why he does what he does when he is working from home. The illustrations are adorable and will certainly capture his attention. I can't wait to purchase!
