Works fine for me. The biggest drawback is the length. For a laptop I think you normally want a longer cord. Less than 6 feet kind of tethers you to the wall. But I have not found a longer one available anywhere so this is the best thing available, I think.

Using with a 100W PD power brick. Dell yelled at me it was below the 180W it wants, instead of the "incompatible adapter" message that limits the power to 15W or something tiny. So this cord does have the Dell 1Wire comm chip needed to fake out the computer that it's a genuine Dell power source. According to my USB meter, it was delivering 60 watts, but my battery was already full so I assume it will pull the full ~90 watts when charging and at full CPU usage. Note: All Precision 7000 laptops want a 180W power adapter regardless of configuration. Mine only has an i5 with intel IGPU, so it never pulls more than 90-100 watts at full tilt, which is why I feel safe using this. If your Dell has an nVidia GPU, I would only use this for charging when powered off or sitting idle. My only gripe is that it doesn't have an LED at the tip. Otherwise it seems like a decently built cable for $13.

Works flawlessly when paired with a 100w PD power supply. Now I can carry this and a small charger that takes care of everything.

Using with Dell Latitude E7470, chager Anker 100W USB C Charger, 736 Charger (Nano II 100W). Update: this cable can actually die, if you're accidentally discharge static charge from yourself by touching it.

Considering this mimics the standard Dell 7.4x5.0mm charging cable, and the level of success others have had with it in regards to similar laptops, I figured it would function flawlessly. Plugged into the Anker 140W GaN Laptop Charger, no charging occured regardless of the configuration I had it in, rendering this cable incompatible with my Dell Latitude 5590. Despite this, I'll still rate it 2 stars due to the build quality and the tightness at which it stayed in my laptop charging port. Packaging was minimal, making the unboxing process painless. Considering the price point of other cables that accomplish the same thing, this one sits at a pretty high point.
