Hayward CL200 In-line Automatic Chemical Feeder

I finally refused to shell out money for another mineral pac and $30 chlorine cartridges. The install on this unit was fairly easy as I don't have a heater and a complicated PVC setup. I was able to reuse the fittings from old chlorinator just having to remove old Teflon tape from them (you tube to the rescue). They fit perfectly saving me a few bucks from purchasing new ones. I will update after the pool is open on performance. Update 6/21 Opened pool this thing worked like a champ . No leaks my filter pump is noticeably quieter. Recommended Update 9/25 Pool closed No problems whatsoever with algae blooms. Pretty much this performed flawlessly all summer no leaks or problems removing cover. I think they may have redesigned the cover lid. Just had to press down release button and screw off lid once it passed the release it was minimal effort. I never used the lid tool I purchased with it once. That may change next year. I unscrew the pressure knob on the filter cover before I remove the lid so to allow some water to escape seems to help when I unscrew the lid. Performance after the first year was flawless as it kept my water crystal clear. Should have bought this years ago. Highly recommended.

Got this to replace our 16 year old chlorinator that we had installed when we got the pool. We already had the filter and motor replaced a few years back they went out much earlier but the chlorinator we had which was the same exact one as this, lasted the whole time and lasted longer than anything in the filter system! So I can say it’s definitely a good purchase and it’s definitely worth paying the extra 50 bucks for the name brand! It’s works like a charm and clears up a 30,000 gal 9ft pool quickly and with ease! And that’s just with the chlorine tabs without any shock or any other chemical. I got it installed by a family friend that works for a pool store so that definitely saved me the headache of installing it myself or asking my husband to do it. But he did it super quick so I think it was a pretty easy install! Fit perfectly since we had the same exact model previously.

These Hayward chlorinators work well for several years then they gunk up and you have to buy a new one.

This replacement all started because the flow control knobs gasket started to leak. The cost to replace the knob and gasket cost ~$10, the issue was the removal and installation. Since we are selling the house I didn't want to mess with the pool, I needed a quick simple solution. So I decided to buy a new unit. I disconnected old unit and waited for the new until. It came in 3 days, I unpacked and gave a look over. I did notice the lid had a locking tab, the old unit had one but is was broken off. I installed the unit and did a quick pressure check be for I loaded it with tablets. All was fine and no leaks. Here is the fun part, I drained the lines. I pushed in the tab under the lid and with incredible ease i spun the lid off. I had to buy a locking lid device to remove and tighten the lid on the old unit and always had leaks. I tossed the lid wrench that day. When I finished adding the tablets I spun the lid on until I heard it click. No more stress about load new tablets and leaks. I turned on the pump and pressurized the system. NO LEAKS 🥳. The cost far outweighed the ease of adding tablets and not worrying about leak, I should have replaced this unit years ago.

Works great. I should have gotten one of these years ago. Much better than the the other type of chlorinators with the tiny plastic tubes.

Fantastic product! It solved my long lasting pool problem. This unit helped me not only to get rid of algae surprises but also it makes the water shiny and clear if proper chlorine pocks are purchased

I was able to replace the chlorinator myself. It worked right away. The price was similar to pool shops and no cost for delivery so even better for me.

The item was perfect except my hook ups were different and I couldn’t use the item.

Been using for 1 month. Works well. Much better than the smaller chlorinator I had before.
