This thing looks great! It's not overly bright, but it's not supposed to be. It's supposed to create ambiance, not light up the whole room like a traditional lamp. Even still, it keeps a good amount of area lit, regardless. You can use the Govee app to control the colors and brightness. It's a very easy to use, intuitive app with lots of control settings. If you have their LED strips, you'll likely already be accustomed to the app - adding the floor lamp is easy as long as you have location enabled on your device. The instructions are pretty straightforward, but if you're having trouble with them, there's YouTube videos that show the lamps construction. It is pretty easy though, so you shouldn't have trouble with it. The construction of the product is solid, and it will hold up well for sure. No issues there. This is definitely a solid product, and will add a nice aura, or "glow' in the corner you place it in. I think the brightness is fine; bright enough but again, it's not a lamp, nor is it intended to be. Just keep that mindful. If you want more brightness and vibrancy, check out the Lamp 2!

This lamp is incredible. The app makes it easy to change colors, brightness, and effects, and the range of options is impressive. Once you start using it, you realize how much it can actually do. Easy to put together. My son loves this thing.

The lamps look great! I bought 5 of them during the black friday event. They are plenty bright for my application. The app is okay, not super intuitive but it works. I linked everything to handle through the Google Home app, which is a nice feature. The colors are well saturated and having the adjustability to change the colors is very nice. However, I'm rating it a 4/5 because I've had to reset each lamp at least once by now, and it's only been a month. It keeps failing to connect to wifi so all the lights don't turn on per my automations. A quick network reset gets it back in working order, but again, I've had to do this to all 5 lights at least once. All the lights have also been updated to the newest firmware so I'm not sure what it would be. I have essentially the same lights from nanoleaf and I haven't experienced that issue yet with them, so I'm not too sure what's going on. For the value, I think the 55 dollar price tag is slightly steep considering how much they've malfunctioned for me. I don't think I will be buying them at full price.

I purchased another one of these because I loved my first SO much. You can connect these to your phone, pick a mood and it chooses lighting for you. You can also pick from the entire color spectrum for solid coloring as well as pulse lighting. My favorite setting is "waves" which mimics the color and movement of waves with lighting. A must have for upscale lighting for everyone from kids to adults

This Govee LED light was very easy to set up, and pairing it through the Govee app took only a few minutes. Once it was connected, the light responded quickly and has been a nice upgrade for adding color and ambiance without any hassle. If you want something that works right out of the box and looks great, this delivers. The customization options are a big part of the appeal, but I will say the app can feel a bit complicated when you are trying to build very specific lighting combinations or scenes. After a little time experimenting, it starts to make a lot more sense and becomes much easier to fine-tune everything exactly how you want it. Overall, it is a solid product with great flexibility once you get past the initial learning curve.

Watching the colors pulse and shift perfectly to the beat of your playlist never gets old. It’s so responsive it feels like the lamp is listening. It’s stylishly minimal, takes up barely any space, and gives you so much control over the atmosphere of your room. If you want to dive into smart, customizable lighting without spending a fortune, stop scrolling and just grab this lamp. It’s easily one of my favorite recent purchases. Highly recommend!

A few comments-assembled very easily, good design. Sturdy enough, good height. at full intensity throws enough light to fill a small room 10 x 10 maybe, more of an area light than a whole-room light for a big room but that's understood. works well, the assortment of features accessible with the app is a bit overwhelming, you better know your way around computer menus, but the amount of flexibility through the app is pretty amazing, almost like working with an advanced photo editor! 3 criticisms-please if you are going to include a paper manual, stop making the print size 2-point fonts! This is ridiculous and i have pretty much 20-20 vision and still need a magnifying lens (I use my smartphone camera app). Yes details are online but then, oh well. 2) the AC power cableis generously long, but the 24V switchbox csble is ridiculously short-you need to keep the switchbox 2-3 feet from the lamp. wouldn't be a problem, but you need to physically turn this on before you can use the app for remote control, sort of defeats the convenience of using a remote. If you are sitting in a chair or in bed, this cable isn't long enough to reach from there. and one more technical criticism in terms of partnering with Alexa or other such systems-thre manual mentions "matter" but then drops the ball by providing no explanation as to what this is. Easy to look up, but the manual by not providing enough info, leaves me guessing as to whether I need to use "matter" which really only a protocol-a set of computer instructions-to unify many remote controlled devices. this light really only needs to partner with alexa or google to work although I haven't tried that yet. So far, pretty impressive-a little pricey but a very interesting, innovative idea. I finally have an Alexa-enabled lighting device that measures up to my baby brother's completely automated house!
