My daughter just completed a training on the basics of Bartending and recieved her certificate in it upon completion. I presented this book to her as a way for her to stay aware and informed of everything she needed to know about Bartending and beyond. She was very grateful for the resource and the way inwhich it was designed and written. She feels she will hold on to this guide for a long time and will refer to it often. I received the book in the time that was identified and in the condition that was described and both of us are more than pleased with this purchase. I would indeed recommend this product.

This book was a godsend… I am a bar owner that has never ran a bar or prepared any drinks… and this book made my transition not only easier, but fun. Most drinks thrown my way, I could find in this book. It is a must for anyone that has a bar and enjoys making drinks… cheers!

Pretty cool, I didn’t get this for myself, bought it as a gift, I hope my mom likes it since she took my bartender’s bible lol. It’s worth buying I highly recommend it!

I bought the Kindle version of this book to accompany the paperback version that I purchased way back in the early '90s. I was a cocktail waitress in college, and the bartender recommended the book to me. Well, eons later, the paperback book is literally falling apart (my young adult children were partly to blame). I wanted to replace the book but saw the digital version and thought it would be a better option. The recipes are the same, and everything from historical references to stocking a bar is included, but the links are atrocious. I am also an author and was disappointed to see that most of the content's links only open a footnote and don't go to the correct part of the book. The author broke the book into categories for a reason. Got vodka? Go to the section that makes drinks with vodka. After checking out the index, I was even more dismayed. It only lists the names of the drinks included in the book in the order they are printed - not in alphabetical order like a standard index with a link. It is even missing links to the common alcohols and mixers that the book contains. I probably should have spent the extra $2 and purchased another paperback. Luckily, my kids got me a bartending book for Mother's day to make up for the abuse to the old one. The book they bought me was written by Gary Regan's wife, Mardee Haidin Regan, and it has many of the same drinks (some recipes differ from the original), but the format is alphabetical as well. That's all well and good if you know drink names and want to look them up, but not for me. My original book was perfect for moments when I looked at my supplies and found a drink that I could make with what I had on hand. Whoever is in charge of the Kindle formatting needs to update this book ASAP. For now, I will coddle my old book and its loose bitters-stained pages until I get a replacement. Cheers!

This is one of the most inclusive cocktail books I have seen. This is my second copy, as first copy was destroyed in a kitchen ceiling leak. I am so glad to have a copy again. It has all the classics and variations, and bar tips. You would be stretched to find a better cocktail book. No pictures, no anecdotes. Just good cocktail recipes. Get the ring binder version of you can.

Great information on what you need to complete a bar. Easy to find drink recipes by name or ingredients.
