Hasbro's Star Wars Black Series Imperial Snowtrooper
Here we have the Cold Assault Stormtrooper or the Snowtrooper from Hasbro's Black Series. Snowtroopers are probably the most unique looking of all the Imperial Troopers as the breather hood over the face plate makes them look a bit more menacing and they have a backpack and kama (skirt). It had taken the Rebels months to adapt to the cold climate of Hoth, but the Empire had spent extensive time training elite squads like the Blizzard Force for cold climate combat. Snowtroopers wear a thermal body glove that is climate controlled via their chest panel and powered by their backpack. The eighteen piece armor is attached via and airtight suit and Snowtroopers have enough rations and power cells to survive in the coldest of weather for two weeks. With an elite squad like this lead by Darth Vader himself; General Veers leading a ground assault with AT-AT's, it's no wonder the Rebel Alliance didn't stand a chance. The Empire took over Echo base in minutes. Hasbro did a solid job overall executing the Imperial Snowtrooper. Inside the packing we get the Snowtrooper himself, along with the standard Imperial issued E11 blaster rifle, the backpack (which attaches simply via a peg in the back) and we also get a DLT-20A blaster rifle used only by the most elite Snowtroopers. Now if only there was a store exclusive 2 pack that came with the E-web heavy repeating blaster we could build a full on Blizzard Force. Articulation is standard for the Black Series, double jointed knees and thigh swivel with good ankle rockers so the legs have great range. The single jointed elbows will get you 90 degrees so two hand rifle holding is a bit difficult and can look wonky. I think the paint apps overall are nice, the figure isn't solid white, the body suit is a more cream color and there's weathering on most of the figure. There's a great weathering effect on the belt insulating cape that's a gradient that starts darker on the bottom and gets lighter as it goes up, and the boots are really dirty. The DLT-20A has a great silver dry brush to it and there's a lot of little paint highlights on the chest plate and backpack that stand out nicely. I'm an Imperial fan, love troopers and army building so I'm pleased to get a Snowtrooper and I'm pleased with how this turned out. I like that we got two weapons and that the backpack is removable. The articulation is what we've come to expect so I can't really complain, it gets the job done for the most part, and the paint applications here are pretty nice so this is definitely worth the $15 it's currently going for. If you're rounding out your Imperial garrison and need a Snowtrooper, don't pass this up while it's so cheap. This figure comes FULLY APPROVED.

Solid addition to any collection.
Great detail. I have this displayed as part of my ‘stormtrooper’ collection. Seems a bit pricey at 30$. Overall though, a great figure.

Yah! Another Storm Trooper.
I love the design of Storm Troopers in any armor, I'd been looking for at least 1 of these to add to my collection, so for the price of these dudes I just had to buy to, because you just can't have enough Storm Troopers in your collection. I recommend this figure if you can get him at a decent price.

Really nice figure (with a couple of minor flaws)
Well, this is weird...at the moment, although the photo is accurate, the title listing for this is "Play-Doh Sparkle & Bright Color Pack" when obviously the product listed is Hasbro's Star Wars Black Series 6" Snowtrooper. But, I guess I shouldn't be mad at Amazon (or Hasbro) for bungling the listing when in fact I probably wouldn't have even gotten this item so early if not for another goof made on their part. A little backstory: Around August, this and other TBS6 figures that weren't due for release anytime soon suddenly popped up for pre-order with vague and sometimes misleading titles. I and other collector nerds were alerted to this fact and immediately pulled the trigger, not fully knowing exactly what it was we were ordering in some cases. A few hours later, and we all assumed it was just a big mistake, but to their credit Amazon keep the orders active and we finally got our shipping notices last week. Now that it's in my hands, I can say that it's really nice figure. The ESB Snowtrooper was always one of my favorite trooper designs of the series and I'm glad that Hasbro has finally gotten around to making it. However, as good as it is, there are a couple of flaws. First, the positives, the sculpt is very film accurate and scaled appropriately. All the details seem right and it is a very realistically sculpted figure. Also, the articulation is good, although fairly standard for the line, and, like the Sandtrooper figure, it comes with both a long rifle and the standard stormtrooper blaster. The backpack is also removable, although I can't imagine why anyone would want to display the figure without it. Another plus is the fact that Hasbro has made an honest attempt to get the colors right. Although it might look funny at first glance, the beige of the undergarments is actually pretty film accurate and they have added a bit of darker grey to the boots and skirt to grunge it up a bit. On the other hand, although they did add color variation, it really doesn't come off that well. It's just beige and then a blob of grey, when a nice wash of darker beige and/or grey would've looked a million times better. In addition, besides the splotch of grey paint, there are no other attempt at weathering or battle damage anywhere else on the figure, as there is on the new (and much better painted) hover tank pilot. Still, the paint is not nearly bad as the atrocious new Princess Leia. (For some reason, Hasbro still can't get human faces right.) Another slight knock is the fact that although the articulation is pretty good, movement below the waist iis extremely limited by the fairly stiff plastic of the skirt. A softer plastic/rubber or even sturdy soft goods would've been preferable. Still, this is a pretty great figure overall and definitely worth having for collectors or Star Wars fans.
