After Lutron, these are the best smart switches that I have found for Apple HomeKit
I've been running a HomeKit home for about 6 years. I originally stuck to the axiom "For best results, buy / use American made products". I started out with Lutron, and they have worked flawlessly, but at $50 to $100 per smart switch, my budget got exhausted quickly. Since then, I've tried Leviton (routine "Not Responding" issues), then decided to try non-American brands like Sylvania (Bluetooth only and poor connectivity), TP-Link (got tired of using Homebridge), and lastly, Belkin WeMo. I had 10 of these switches, and could never seem to keep more than 5 or 6 on-line at any one time. A couple flat out stopped working, and a few others refused to connect to HomeKit, so I was forced to run so-called HomeKit-compatible switches through a HomeBridge plug-in to get them to actually be seen by HomeKit.I had similar issues with automating my garage door opener, trying a couple of different Chamberlain devices and a Best Buy Insignia unit, all giving me connectivity issues. I tried a Meross Smart Garage door opener in April, 2021; it has worked flawlessly since then. Next I tried their light bulbs - Excellent performance. Meross smart plugs - perfect. So this last week, when I saw these Refoss / Meross single pole smart switches @ 2 / $20, I bought 10, and replaced all those WeMo's. The installation went like clockwork. The Refoss switch is also a little smaller, which meant they fit in my electrical boxes more easily. Every switch connected to HomeKit on the first try, and I've had no issues since they were installed. And the price point can't be beat. Other than having to enter the HomeKit code manually for each switch at installation, everything else is perfect! And, although I was grateful that I had Homebridge available to work around these other devices' limitations and defects, I happily shut down my Homebridge server once the WeMo's were gone! It's so great to look at my Apple home with every device working flawlessly!

Not worthy
I bought four of this refoss smart switches. Installation is very easy and the eHomeLife app is very easy to setup the scheduling. However, after one week of using it, it started giving “unreachable” message to eHomeLife app. Then device LED light lit up solid red. It’s very annoying because I have to delete configuration from the app, and reset devices by pressing button until LED light flashes red and green. Then let the app detects all devices and input there code number one at the time. Now, I have this product for more than a week, and this issue “unreachable” message is becoming frequent. So I installed these devices to bathrooms, walk-in closet, and pantry. This product is not worth installing to areas such as driveway lights, front door lights or backyard lights to provide sense of security if it keeps getting “unreachable” message and when you are away from home. I gave three stars because of the app easy to use when setting up schedule time. Hardware installation is very straightforward and easy to follow.

Keep updating IOS to stay current!
Just a word for the Apple people. My lights were working dandy until yesterday, the home kit said they were unreachable, out of the blue. I tried to reconnect them but not good. When I first installed them I also had this issue. I had read that updating IOS seems to help. So guess what? IOS 15.2 just came out, not sure the correlation but all be darn, it works now. I always have to input the code but it picks it up immediately. So yeah if you are Apple always update your IOS!! and should be ok.

Work good until they become non responsive
I like the product but need to work out the glitches after a period of time switches become non responsive and you to have to start from square one resetting up. Very Annoying maintenance.

Service
if one stops working or is defective be prepared to return them all. I would have been happy to receive a single replacement, but that was not possible. because they request them all back i will not consider purchasing them again.

Works well when they work
I have 3 of these and two of them mostly work fine. One of them stopped responding after a firmware update. I removed the faulty one from my HomeKit, hoping re-adding would solve the problem. This was not the case, there didn't seem to be any way it wanted to connect to HomeKit again. I even took it out of the wall for a while to have it reset. Then I e-mailed Meross. They were friendly and helped me fix the problem. For its price the Refoss/Meross outlets are good. My Lutron switches always work, never had any issues. But you pay a lot more for that. So I would say this is still good value for your money, but I'm giving it 3 stars so people can be aware it is a more hands on product than the more expensive competitors.-----Update 3 months in. I still appreciate the Refoss/Meross customer service department. They really do try to help and are responsive and nice. However this product is just not very good. I have reset 2 of my 3 switches multiple times and it is often a hard job, not just because you actually have to sever the electrical connection, but the reconnecting with homekit takes between 3 and 10 times. I'm very persistent, but I can imagine a lot of people would just give up on the product. If you don't want to unscrew and detach an outlet from your wall every month and a half or so I would not recommend this product.I have many Meross products, their light bulbs and their outdoor smart plug work pretty well. But this switch has been a disappointment.

Keep having to reconnect these switches every couple of months!
I don’t like that they keep disconnecting from my home, I have to keep re connecting them every couple of months, and it gets annoying! They work as intended while they are still connected to the network. I recommend the eve smart switch that’s thread enabled, they can be used as a single pole switch or a three way switch! They are more expensive, but much more reliable!
