Elgato Chat Link Pro - Audio Adapter, for PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch, Capture Voice Chat, Gameplay Sound, Extra Long Cable

I originally had given this a lower rating because after a few weeks/month, one of the channels failed, so I was hearing just from my right headset. I reached out to the elgato team and I must say I was thoroughly impressed with their customer service, and how quick they were to remedy the situation. Without hesitation they offered a solution that was quick and reasonable. Before the left channel failed me, it worked seamlessly! Plug and play ready and had fixed my streaming challenges. And the audio was crisp and clear! The pro version is supposed to be sturdier but with sensitive cables, things can get damaged. I received my replacement within 5-7 business days. This company was the best in treating their customers! I will continue to buy from Elgato.

My original Chat Link cable started to wear out and even had some exposed wires after more than 2 years of use, so I decided it was time to bite the bullet and just get a new one. I wasn't aware the pro version was even a thing but when i saw it had a ground loop isolator, I knew I had to give it a try. I've had an annoying buzzing sound whenever I streamed or recorded on my PS5 because I have to play wired, and I tried fixing it with different filters on OBS but it always ruined the audio. I then bought a separate ground loop isolator, but it always made my game audio really low so i would have to increase the gain but then that would make some feedback audible. I bought the pro cable, and all of my problems were instantly fixed. There is still a very, very, small buzzing sound but nowhere near what it was before, plus I don't have to increase the gain on my gameplay to make it audible! This cable also fixed an issue on my Xbox where the center channel audio wasn't being picked up so cutscenes were impossible to hear. I'm so happy right now I had to tell someone!

Kind of amazing for music and other A/V use cases. I’ve used this cable for several purposes and it’s been a great addition to my audio gear. Plugs are high quality and remain in the Jack. Audio quality has no noticeable bleed over even at higher amplitude. Great product, would order again from Elgato!

Top quality from El Gato again. Necessary for anyone streaming. Gives clear audio to your gameplay, and isn't a hassle to set up. Works with anything that plugs into it. Short cable though so keep that in mind

it works well, make sure you use the noise isolator is on when recording to avoid a echo in your game recording

The little on off switch on the chat link works great. Recorded a game with it off and all you could hear was that electric static sound, turn it on and boom no bad sounds, the cable length is perfect for my st up and the chat sound quality is pretty good. Took me a bit to figure out how to get everything all plugged in and working properly but now that it's all together everything is great!

You can read my review. But if you are trying to share a stream to a discord room from PS5 gameplay use the solution I described at the bottom of the review. Much easier than using a capture card; this crappy cable I was attempting to use this for my PS5 controller with headphones. Plugged into a elgato capture 4k s connected to my ipad. The audio was not capturing. the elgato capture app for iPad Pro is basic. audio source was set to "elgato 4ks" naturally. But I was not receiving audio in my recordings or enabling "pass to speakers" while the chain link with headphones connected to my ps5 controller. After a bit of troubleshooting I assume figured it out. The headphones I was using have no mic. I found a 4 pole headphone connector with mic was needed. I was able to capture audio, but not through audio source elgato 4ks. Through "ipad microphone." which quickly became an issue. because the audio pitched highly passing through speakers. I didn't think it would work but I attempted to disable my built in mic via ps5 controller, no solution. I had been attempting to screen broadcast to a discord room. The audio would not work properly so it wasn't going through in the screen broadcast in discord Overall a frustrating experience and why not have a built-in mic in this expensive line and cable, for $20! That would mitigate many issues for people they could use their nice headphones that don't have a mic necessarily. If you are trying to capture game footage to stream over a discord room. I would recommend a much simpler solution which I wish I had done right away... Sign up for a twitch account. After twitch account is ready. In PS5 access SETTINGS > accounts > link a service > twitch ensure you are signed in via your smartphone to twitch. Then aim your phone camera at the QR code on PS5 screen. Initiate the sign in process by entering the code provided. Open your game. Click the SHARE button on the left of the PS5 controller. On the right side bottom menu click the BROADCAST option Select the linked TWITCH service. Don't bother with YouTube. You need 50 subscribers minimum to live stream from there. It won't tell you when your broadcast is rejected. Give your stream title. Then you can go live. From there everything on your PS5 screen will be broadcasting to your twitch account. Then you can share your twitch stream via a discord room. No more audio issues!
